Anyone else read this master writer of horror fiction?
He's the mastermind behind Cthulhu, if you've ever heard of it.

Today I read a collection of short pieces and excerpts from the Cthulhu mythos series and I thought that it was marvellous. It's not that Lovecraft is outright scary, or gory scary, but it's more the fact that the horror is so subtle and psychologically immoral or horrible that makes his work a joy to read.

YES YES YES!
I love him, seriously! The only horror writer I really like. <3
I also read the Cthulhu short stories and a few other (long long time ago... should re-read it soon '-'"). The best I've read was the whisperer in the dark. I don't know the exact title (and I'm a bit too lazy to stand up and look XD), but I know that it was the first I read of him. I read it all night long and when my brother suddenly appeared next to me I nearly screamed because I was so shocked. '-' And normally I wouldn't scream, even if death personally stood next to me!
A long speech just to say that: This guy taught me how to fear!
