Glitches or easter eggs?

I've found that whenever you use a hand-bomb, after attacking with it, it vanishes until you begin attacking again. Also, some of the animations of enemies being blown backwards are glitchy- the foe will change shades as it is blown away. An example was in the Salikawood- I blew backwards a Sprinter and as it slid away, it was lighter and lighter and color (and it was also sliding on nothingness).
Are the cut-scenes dubbed? The characters' mouths don't look like they're speaking English (especially Larsa).
When I fought the Behemoth King (before my brother pulled out the cord) I noticed that the party was standing well away from the King while fighting. They had melee weapons.
Have you noticed any easter eggs?

Well ofcourse they are dubbed, its a Japanese game.
As for the rest, I haven't really noticed. Most games have glitches, I usually don't mind them.

The game was dubbed from the original Japanese one to save time since they usually remake most of the cut scenses instead but this wasn't the case here and as such some of the transfers were a bit sketchy. I have also noticed the countless glitchs that the handbombs cause and this is why I call them glitch bombs instead. Also I have notices the oversized enemy glitch which is one where your part dosn't actually make contact with the larger enemeis despite using melee weapons.

Thanks. A lot of times when I go to the westersand during a sandstorm, I notice that my Gastrophetes (crossbow) will miss 75% of the time without a Cameo Belt, as does my Sagittarius and Volcano (bow and glitch bomb). Is this an effect of the sandstorm?
BTW, the miss factor on Sagittarius decreases considerably if I use Artemis Arrows.

I do believe FFX was also dubbed without changing cutscenes. (and X-2)
I don't know any game that has had the cutscense remade because of dubbing issues.
I think that would be a total waste of time really. Never noticed glitches in bombs, because I don't use them.

I think there's so many glitches with the hand bombs because, well, they're an fairly obscure weapon class. I've never used them and had no idea they were even in the game until recently. I never bothered to try them out. Guess I just like to use boring weapons, I guess...

I use them a lot. With Volcano and the Castellanos you can get all the power of the Morning Star over a large area. It sure beats crappy TK.
Another glitch, which I'm sure you've noticed, is throwing NihoRem or just Immobilize on a character near the exit to another area. Then you get far enough awayto get the immobilized character off your mini-map. Here's the glitch: You can make enemies on-screen (near enough to see health bars) disappear by switching lightning-fast between the Immobilized character and the party leader.
And an interesting easter egg is that the Baknamy in the Necrohol have Demon Shields. The Baknamy Merchant sells said shields. Connection, maybe? (BTW their swords appear to be rainbow Demonsbanes.

Yeah, the weather effects quite a few things.

Strong winds knock the accuracy of bows down to 80% and crossbows down to 50%. So areas where there are snow/sand storms, you'll lose accuracy on those weapons.

The weather also influences the effectiveness of elemental attacks and magicks.

For example, Sunny weather will influence fire magicks 120%, Water will be knocked down to 50%, Aero will be up to 120%.

I can't be bothered typing every single weather type and effect, but you get the jist of it.

Hmm. I'll consider that and wear Agate Rings (now that I've finally found a use for them) the next time I go Halcyon hunting.
Another easter egg is that you can trick the game's Bazaar system. I found that I was able to use one, yes, one, High Arcana for the Esoteric drought (Megalixir), Jewel of the Serpent (Serpentarius), and Jewel of Creation (Empyrean Soul), using just the one High Arcana for the three recipes. (Needless to say, my Gil took a beating.)
Has anyone else used hard-to-get loot multiple ways?

High Arcana's are the same for when you are making the Toursenol, first time doing it I thought I needed 6, but you only need 3 if you sell the 2 War Gods Bands, Soul Powder, 4 Snake Skin and 2 Serpent Eyes together with 1 High Arcana.

If you sell them in one set each (i.e 2 War God's Bands, Soul Powder, High Arcana) then you'll need 6 High Arcanas lol.

Makes it much easier to get the Empyreal Soul's and Serpentarius' you need.

EDIT: I really should've read your post properly lol. Just said basically the same thing.

Well, have you used loot multiple ways? I managed to trick the game by getting Masamune and tournesol with oinly 3 gemsteel.

I may have, but nothing springs to mind right now, and I know I never bothered with the second Masamune on my first playthrough which I probably should have but meh.

I probably have though, just nothing really is standing out in my head at the moment.b

I heard somebody managed to get Yiazmat stuck in the tunnels n the Colosseum in Ridorana. Does anybody know how?

Never heard that.

There's a glitch with The Seer hunt, after you've beaten all the bosses from the Pharos, he can get into "Fearga" madness. Basically, he'll use Fearga, drain all of your party's MP, but when you hit him, because of the "Head Hunter" augment on the liscense board, you'll get MP back, so he'll Fearga again and keeps doing it. Seen it happen but never happened to me.

With Fafnir you can cause a glitch aswell, in the sout east section of the map screen, there's a bolder. If you stand next to it, Fafnir can't reach you, he'll just keep casting Shock and his -ga spells over and over. So then if you just equip and opal ring, cast reflect on your party, have a mage with Faith, inflict sap and spam Thundaga, and have the other two of your party using telekenesis you can beat him quite simply.

Actually I never used TK against Fafnir, I just put up Reflect on my whole party and set up "Ally: Any... Thundaga" which got me 3 Thundaga for the price of 1.
What's your favorite "dying animation" where you hit an enemy so hard they go flying? Mine is Alraune (because their heads get stuck in the ground) and Imperials (because they slide across the floor).

The Alrune one can be pretty funny, when you twat them and they go flying lol.

I like any type of horse like foe's aswell. Their front two legs go mad, then they drop onto their sides.

The serpent type foes one is good aswell, looks quite realistic for a snake type creature like. Though I hate the design of them, they could've looked so much better.

A Little

Arn't you being a little too critical?

Think back to the days when faces were brown pixels, and the goal of every game was to gorge a mystery food while dodging ghosts, or shooting missles at billions of bugs until eternity ends.

Makes those glitches seem like works of art. lolz

You think that I'm being critical? Look in the first post. Does it say "I hate these glitches" or "I don't like them"? Nope. This is just a little discussion thread about minor glitches, etc.
A "dying animation" that is glitched but makes perfect sense is that of Flans and Hecteyes. Hitting them hard knocks them across the terrain while oozing out behind them, and when done on stairs, it will appear to be sliding on air.

Oh, and Kayak4One, those lyrics need a good replacement:
I'll have you know
That I've become
Indestructible
Determination that is incorruptible
From the other side
A terror to behold
Annihilation will be unavoidable
Every broken enemy will know
That their opponent had to be invincible
Take a last look around while you're alive
I'm an indestructible
Master of war!
