Despite the mixed reviews of this movie I decided to jump into it anyway... my god it is amazing. Anyone who wants a seriously thought-provoking eye-opener or is just an American history buff absolutely MUST see it.

I don't know, there's some good stuff in there, and Daniel Day Lewis' performance is as good as everyone says, it towers above the rest. But the film is messy and unwieldy, you can see it seems to be a compromise between director and studio, and the less said about DiCaprio's/Diaz's (good actors when given the right role) accents the better.
