Well, do we have any?

I started watching Firefly last year and Ive managed to watch Serenity this month. Sadly there is only one series and runs for 14 episodes and Serenity is the movie. The movie was created because the DVD sales of Firefly were massive, so even though the series was filmed in 2002, in 2005 Joss Wheldon (Buffy, Angel) created the movie Serenity. It doesnt matter which you watch first because both have been written well, so it doesnt matter.

Okay, Firefly follows the adventures of Mal Reyonds and his crew of misfits as they avoid the alliance and try to earn a living aboard their ship Serenity. However they pick up amazing doctor Simon and his cargo, which just happens to be his sister River, who has been rescured from Alliance.

The show is just brilliant, full of Wheldons uniquie characters and great dialogue. The OST is also amazing, specially the ballard of Serenity which is the main theme. My favourite characters are Jayne, Kaylee, Book, Mal and Wash. The characters are loveable and you do get to love them and enjoy their antics. Its just a shame a second series wasnt created and there are some unanswered questions. However an online game has been announced, the term Browncoats has been mentioned. Browncoats were those who fought agasint the Alliance and Mal and Zoe were members.

They aim to misbehave!

No arguments about its greatness but I would like to know why it's taken you this long to watch it.

Only thing we've got to look forward to are a comic series, MMORPG and books which sucks ass but nevermind, I've gotten used to my favourite programmes being canceled in recent years. Deadwood most recently.

I never seen it on the TV and my ex downloaded it one day and I seen Serenity reviewed by Jonathan Ross. Thats what sparked my interest. Plus Ive had to watch cash lately, hence the reason it took so long to get the DVDs.

Don't worry about it, I won't slate you for it and you've seen it which is more than I can say for most people too.

It was Ross' review on Serenity that sparked my interest in it too, saw the movie in the cinema for my birthday with my mates after college was canceled with some alcohol. Good day.

Still sucks to this day that it was canceled, bit biased but it was my fave Whedon show. Miss seeing the 'verse, think I'll watch it later now.

I was never a fan of Buffy or any of Whedon's other stuff, but I really enjoyed Firefly. I watched the entire series on dvd in one weekend. I would have watched it religiously if it had kept on, for sure.

Hell, spring break is coming up so I might have a day or two of boredom, I might watch it again.

Lol, no worries Scrutator. Its the only Whedon show I enjoy also and its horrible we never got a second series, but a film is just as good! I watch the DVDs as much as I can and Ive got my boyfriend to buy the boxset also cause he loved Serenity.

Looks like I'm going to have to pull up a search for Firefly, from what I've read it's good, I'm just lazy and such about finding these things.

Both Firefly and Serenity are awesome. But i must admit, i was a little disappointed with the events of Serenity.

Indeed, Serenity was brilliant. It took me awhile to finally get the courage to watch it and I dont regret it, it took Firefly to another level for me.
