Okay, this is a story I am starting, I have the majority of the plot in my head, all I need to do is think of things that can be done in between the major events, and actually write it out. This is the first chapter, I know it's sort of long, but its the first chapter, and I just wanted to paint a picture for what the story is about. Most of the questions people might ask will be answered at the end. If you have another question or comment, feel free to post!

WARNING: THE BEGINING OF THIS CHAPTER IS EXTREAMLY VIOLENT AND DESCRIPTIVE. IF VIOLENCE/BLOOD SHED/MURDER/PEOPLE CRYING OFFEND YOU TO THE EXTREME, THEN PLEASE, DO NOT FLAME ME, JUST READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. THANK YOU.

The flames raged through the town of Barq like wildfire, as the imperial soldiers fled from the village, after setting it
ablaze. You could hear the clanking of their armour clashing with the other pieces, echoed by the distrubing
scream of the villagers and children, while tears cleansed their faces of the blood like
a waterfall. The men of the village attempted to fight the imperials with their feeble weapons, but to no avail, as
the imperials had superb armour, and their swords were the best in the land. The blood of the villagers splattered
across the once smooth, wavy blades of grass. Which were now bathed in a cherry-coloured liquid.

"No!!! Please!! Don't hurt him!!!" screamed a mother, when an imperial peirced his spear into the young one's
chest, as the child screamed for his mother.

One family of two children, a mother and a father were hiding in the cold,
cellar basement of their small home when a group of nine imperial swordsmen came crashing through, spilling the family's
organs across the dirt floor. Another family held up base inside the top roof of their rather large house, only to become
entertainment for the imperial soldiers outside as they burned down their home, listening to the ear shattering screams
for help.

A soldier cloaked in a dark-green coloured armour ending the lives of a father and son, as they hugged each other,
as the father repeated, "Everything will be alright, everything will be alright." Of course, everything wasn't all right.

Kalissa, a mother of two boys ran up to the man in the dark-green armour and attempted to beat him with a stick
she had picked up off the blood covered ground. The man removed his helmet and allowed the wind to dance with his black
hair as he chuckled at the weak woman. Kalissa's assualt halted, as her eyes lit up with fear. Her mouth dropped as this
tall, evil man placed his hand on her forehead, and slowly dug the claws of his iron gloves into her head. He lifted her
up and threw her body down into the dirt, infront of her twelve-year old boy Skye, and fourteen-year old Argus.

"Argus, Skye... Please.. Ugh.. Take this, take... This, and run away.. Please..." said Kalissa, as she cried and
handed her sons a bag of a small amount of money.

"Momma, come with us!" said the eldest son, Argus, as he cried in harmony with his family.

"No, baby.. Arhh.. I can't, I can't move.. Your going to have to leave this place behind, without me..."

"Momma!" Skye cried, as he managed to cease gasping for air, "I won't go without you!"

"Don't worry boys.. I'll always be with you.. Here.. Take this." Replied Kalissa, as she handed Skye her
necklace.

The boys laid down with their mother, hugging and crying in unison with each other, as the village continued to
be burned to hell, and its villagers die at large amounts. The family of three could hear the footsteps of a warrior, as
the armoured boots clunked against the dirt path loudly.

"Enough. Stop your crying." he said.

Kalissa and her boys continued to cry, sheilding their faces from the man.

"No!!" shouted Kalissa, at the top of her lungs as she shoved her children away from her.

The boys reacted by standing back up, and stared at their mothers face. Her crying had stopped, as she had
accepted her fate. She smiled, as a tear ran down her cheek, and then followed the wrinkle near her mouth down her chin,
and softly said, "Don't worry. Mommas always gonna be with you..."

The man standing near her took a quick glance at the children, as Argus and Skye scanned his face with fear and
hatred. They saw his face, which had little pricks of hair sticking out of each direction as if he hadn't shaved that
morning. As the man gasped for air, lifting his sword from the sheathe consealed by his dark-green armour, that glittered
in the rain, a large gust of wind flew by and waved his black hair out of his face, allowing the boys to see his brown
eyes, and the scar that went through the left one.

"Nooo!!!! MOMMA!!!" Skye cried, as Argus whined at the sight of this large man, who had just penetrated Kalissa's
spine with his immense blade.

The boys cried, as they witnessed the blood pour, like juice out of a jug, from Kalissa's mouth. The man laughed,
and grinded his massive blade into the soggy flesh of Kalissa, who then gave up screaming, closed her tear spewing eyes,
and laid her head down on the now blood bathed path.

"MOMMA!!! AHH!!!" screamed Skye, as he attempted to attack the man, but his older brother Argus grabbed him by the
back collar, and ran in the opposite direction, into the forest.

"I can't believe what's happening, Argus.." whimpered Skye, putting his dirty fingers through the dark blue blades
of his hair.

"Well, its been about an hour.. I think we lost the the guy who killed momma.. But I'm not sure where we're headed.
If we don't find someplace to eat soon.. We might have-ta eat animals." answered Argus, as he flicked his long brown hair
from covering his eyes.

"I don't wanna eat animals, I wanna see momma!" faught Skye.

"Shut up! Mommas dead! Get it? She 'aint commin' back! And if it comes to it, your gonna eat animals if you like
it or not! Ya understand me?!"

"Yeah..." said Skye, as he tilted his head down, and fiddled with Kalissa's necklace, which swung back and forth
with each step that Skye took, making a song with the noise it made as it hit Skye's chest.

The boys kept walking through the woods with fear. It appeared to them as if the trees were towering over them,
with the holes in the bark making scarey faces that made the brothers yelp from time to time.

"What if we die out here, Argus?"

"Shut up, dammit! I hear somethin'..."

The boys halted their footsteps and listened for a sound. All was quiet. Then they heard a quick movement in a
nearby bush, but they didn't know if it was something in the bush, or if it was the gust of wind rushing through the
falling leaves of the trees.

"You hear that, Argus?"

"Gawd! I told you to shut up!"

They stood still in silence, waiting for something to come out of the bush. Argus, being the brave one, picked up
a rock, and tossed it into the bush. The bush replied with a "Ow!!"

"Hey, it talked!" said Skye.

"Holy hell, Skye? How many times I gotta tell ya? Shut the hell up!!" he screamed, as he lightly smacked his
confused brother across his head.

Argus ran up to the bush, but on his way there, an older boy, who appeared to be no older then 17 jumped out.

"Yo! Gimme that sack 'o gold you got there, punk!"

"Forget it!" argued Argus.

The theif began wrestling with Argus to obtain the gold. Skye saw, and ran over to help his brother in need.

"Hey you! Stay away from my brother!" he shouted.

"Skye!! Ahh! Get away!" said Argus, fighting with the theif.

Skye ran up to the fighting twosome, and suddenly, the theif and Argus stopped, and began screaming loudly.

"AHHHH!!" they both screamed in agony. And in time, the theif ran off, forgeting about the gold, and ready to
smash his head in before it exploded.

"Whoah! What happened?" questioned Argus, slightly forgetting the pain in his body.

"I dunno.." answered Skye.

"Holy crap, Skye! Look! The necklace is glowing!" Argus continued, pointing towards the Kalissa's necklace.

"Oh... Wow.." Skye said, as he admired the shining, calm radiant glow of the treasure, "I feel.. Happy."

"Man, my pain is nearly gone.." said Argus, interrupting the moment.

The boys then just continued on walking through the woods, being ever so cautious about what might linger in the
next bush. They then heard something else. It sounded distant and faint, but it sounded like a crowd cheering.

"Woah! What is that?" began Skye.

"I dunno.. Lets go check it out!"

"Yeah!"

The boys ran as fast as they could towards the sound, stopping every thirty seconds, listening to the chanting
crowd, and then redirecting themselves into the aproppriate direction. Finally, they arrived at what they heard. It was
a town!

Facts:

The begining was just to set the idea of what it was like there. No, the whole story isn't going to be dark and evil like that, although there will be other parts that will be presented in the same way as the begining was.

No, Argus and Skye will not be kids forever. In fact, they will become the age they are going to stay at in the next chapter.

The plot IMO is full of twists, major events that change characters, darkness, love, emotions, character development and more.

I hope you enjoyed reading the first chapter, future chapters will not be as long, and if I don't recieve at least 10 people who like it so far, then Im not going to bother writing more, because I'd be wasting my time. If I do get at least 10 intrested readers, then I will write a new chapter every weekend (Fridays), as my week is packed with other activites. Thanks. Tell me what you think.
