The Final Fantasy XII Original Soundtrack will be available in Japan next month. The four-disc album will feature more than 100 tracks composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, including songs that did not make it into the game. The first print limited edition will ship in a special DVD case and contain a special 28-page booklet.

The Final Fantasy XII Original Soundtrack will be released on April 19th for 3,800 yen ($32.36 US).

The thread title is deceitful

I once read somewhere that FFXIII was to be released on the same day as the PS3, which in UK is November 11th of this year. Doubtful, but hopeful :)

Will FF12 hit UK before US?
if not then i'll just import it

If only Square Enix could work more efficiently... it's not like they don't have the resourches. They have branches in Europe and the United States, they don't have to rely on other publishers like some other companies. They could start localising and converting a game to PAL when it's still in development. Square Enix has really been disappointing me lately.

Not only are we slower but we don't get some games in the europe like fma and chrono.

We might be able to get ff xII on the day of release of ps3 since console release are the{nearly} same worldwide they probably won't want to release a ps2 game when the ps3 is already out

I'm pretty sure that won't scare them. Final Fantasy IX and the PS2 were released very closely together, weren't they?

Square Enix will bring the game out as fast as they can (which is as fast as a drunk snail trying to get home), the PS3 launch will hurt sales, but if they don't release it, they will get no money whatsoever.

Squaresoft is really starting to get on my nerves. They won't release Radiata Stories and I very much doubt will get Valkyrie Profile 2: Sylmeria. Why? RPGs sell well enough. Koei releases Nippon Ichi games at a very fast pace, they wouldn't do that if there was no money in it. Ditto for 505 Gamestreet and Ghostlight, companies that releases games such as Stella Deus, Magna Carta and MegaTen.

You could try to modchip your PS2 to play NTSC and PAL games.

I have a NTSC U/C PS2 and a PAL PS2, so that's not the problem. Square Enix Europe is just a very lousy publisher.
