Final Fantasy 7 problem- remove materia from members

...where Tifa asks you if you want to remove Materia from the other members of your party? You should be presented with some options, one of which is "Yes, remove them" or something to that effect. This takes the materia from your inactive party at that time so that you can use it elsewhere.
If you mean in general...just put the cursor over the materia in the slot and press triangle.

i know. thaths right tifa asked me if i want to remove materia. but then i equip materia to the rest 3 haracters because they gonna fight with a robot.. so when tifa ask me what i should to do ?
when tifa asked me to remove materia from her and could i do it. then i equip lighting materia to barret and red XII to destroy robots in elevator.
after this cloud is gonna to figt on the roof. but then game show me information like " acces menu by menu button then remove materia from members by switch and start button" . what i should to do ? please help !

Please don't reply to a thread more than once in a row - it can become highly irritating.
It's hard to describe, seeing as it's almost too simple, but I can only re-direct you to the "exchange" function in the materia menu. You'll have a list of all characters you've come across, even if they're not in your current party. So, if you only have Cloud, selecting "exchange" should bring you to a menu where you see the materia equipped by Barret, Tifa, Aerith and Red XIII.
