Hi everyone, thanks to you all who helped me out last time.
Ive got to Mt.gagazet?? i think its called, where seymour fights us again, ive read the walkthroughs on certain sites but im still something like 40 level ups away from Tidus's Hastaga, which it says i need! I could just battle over and over until i reach my goal but i was owndering if there was any way in which i could speed this progress up!?
Its say i should be at that level with my players at this stage in the game, but unfortunately its not turned out that way, im new to FF and wondered if anyone could help :) Thanks 2 everyone who replies, Zak!!
 
Bad news- This is the hardest boss in the game. Good news- It only gets easier from here on in. Yes, at this point you are going to have to level, this can be done easily by training next to a save point so you can restore your HP/MP after every battle. However there is a small cheat which I often use for FFX boss fights which is this: Get into a battle near a save point and summon, keep the aeon on the field until his overdrive is full then dismiss him and finish the battle with your characters. If your aeon is brought to low HP during battle you can dismiss him, heal and summon him again. His overdrive will stay the same. Do this for all your aeons and have Yuna summon them during the fight with Seymore and use their overdrives immediatly, this way you can remove a huge chunk of HP every turn until all your overdrives have been "Benished". You will still have to fight him on your own for a little while, but the aeons will make it a whole lot easier.
 
Remember, carry 99 Holy Waters, even though you'll need like 25 or so.

Also, have Bio be cast on him; it'll take off a good chunk ever time.

Protect is a MUST.

Second hardest. I died once at Yunalesca because she used Mega-death before Hellbiter.
 
Leveling up

Gagazet is a good place to level up since most of the creatures give high exp.

But if you get to the part where you can "catch" the monsters, i think it'll be better since 1) you can do a lot of leveling up and 2) if you're willing to spend a lot of time collecting all the needed creatures, then you'll get a really good treat.
 
Or you could just cheat and use Yojimbo, if you have never used him and you give him a lot of gil then he will most likely use Zanmato, and its also a good idea to get Grand Summon for him aswell.
 
Two ways I defeated him are either to have all your summons on full Overdrive and cast Haste on Yuna at the beginning and hit him with everything you've got and hope he hasn't got much left for Auron and Tidus to finish him off.

Or you could use Yojimbo and use Zanmato, this is a cheap way to win but it isn't cheating so your conscious should be kept clear.
 
All I done was abuse the moutain. I spent 2 hours everyday just battling on Mt.Gagazet for 2 weeks till I felt they were 'tooled-up' enough to go in there and whoop him.
 
also if you want to level Tiduses Overdrve up, just use it over and oer again, his Blitz Ace is great for tight situations.
