Is it just over and you have to make a new save to keep playing, or after you beet the final boss,can you go back and run around in places you already been?
and can you choose the person you run around as?
like can you choose who you be as in the leader charactor or is it chosen for you?
 
Why dont you just buy the game and find out??


I think it will just end like all the other Final Fantasys did. Wrappde up with a big bow and onto the next one.

Uh, I think you just carry on the game doing what you want with the side-quests, and missions. You know what I mean?

i dont have any other final fantasy games, and i am not going to buy iti ntil i find out what i want to know.
 
I think you're expecting Final Fantasy XIII to be some sort of Diablo/Single Player World of Warcraft experience, let me tell you: It's neither of those. It's something completely beyond those expectations in this, and that other post you made. Read some reviews, watch a few trailers, gameplay, and see if it's the kinda stuff you like.

Since you want a real answer: The answer is no, as I can tell from other FF games, and my instincts with this one.

@Lightning Farron: That would be a nice touch if you could do that. As long as you get achievements for the sidequests after the final battle. Usually they wrap it up and leave it at that.
 
I just looked it up on Google for you, and you can do side quests, missions, hunt thingies, grind CP, battles, get trophies/achievements, and just play around.
 
Yes Stefani, you can choose who you want your leader to be after Chapter 10 apparently. According to the internet anyway.

All i really care about is can i choose who i play as outside of battle
I dont want to EVER have to run around as snow or swanzh or hope or fang or lightning

i only want to be vanille and no one else, but can i?
 
Not for the whole game, you're going to be FORCED to play as those characters you apparently hate during some parts of the game. It's not really a big deal anyway... At some points later in the game you can switch them around the way you please.
 
Hmph.

You can choose your leader but you have to have others with you. So you can be Vanille, but two others will have to be with you too.
 
Right I've completed it, here is what happens.

You watch the ending FMV and credits roll up. You are then given the option to save. Choose yes.

Reload this save afterwards and you will appear just before the room with the final boss battle. You are able to go back the areas which you still want to continue exploring, and your Crystariums will all go up to stage 10, instead of 9 like before.
