I went back to Oerba and Vanilles robot told me that a powerfull Fal'cie lived in Suylla (spelling?) Springs, be careful when walking at waters edge. So natually I teleported there and spent about an hour walking back and forth at every edge to the water, fought every enemy a thousand times, and nothing happened. Anyone know how to get the Fal'cie to appear?

You have to get the alternate path in Sulya Springs. Are you sure you tried everything? Did you get the alternate path of Atomos in The mine? It is on the left side If I recall. Hope this helps.

Well you see him/it and you need that sequence so you can gain access to the hidden paths.
However you can't fight it.
It's not an adversary.
