Help [FFX-2] Missed Paines special dress sphere

I'm on the start of chapter 3 now. Can I get it later on in the game? It seems like the game will be alot harder without it. I have a save on chapter 2 but I won't let me back on the airship.
 
You can get it during chapter three, I believe. Just talk to Trommel in the the forest. I'm not 100% sure though.
 
I don't think you can get Paine's Full Throttle after chapter 2. Believe it or not, the special dressphere's won't help a lot, you should be able to do fine without it. I think the Mascot dressphere trumps any special dressphere any day, but thats my opinion. Either way, I'm sure this forum will be very helpful if you run into trouble in the future chapters. Aside from a few crazy battles in optional places, I think you'll do just fine.
 
Whats the Mascot Dressphere? Where can I find it? I don't wanna miss that too!!

Has anyone else completed the game without Paines Dressphere?

It looks awesome though! I'm tempted to start again as I'm only at the beginning of chapter 3.

...and I've been reading on google that you can only get it in chapters 1 & 2. I'm so annoyed!

Talk to Trommel several times in Chapters 1 or 2. :-) I did the game fine with Paine's dressphere, it's not that good. Machina Maw is the best dressphere IMO.
 
So anyone done this game without that dressphere? I'd love your advice please hopefully its not start again although I am really tempted incase I get further and struggle without it.
 
Well, I've finished the game 5 or 6 times and the only time I've used it is when I was trying to get all the AP for it. I never actually used it in a serious battle. I'm not crazy about the special dresspheres because you lose the other 2 girls when using it and 1 of them doesn't have curative magic which can make the battle much harder. So I think that all is not lost if you've missed it. I'm kind of a fanatic about getting all the items and I would start over, just because I'd want to have it, even if I didn't use it.

The Mascot is the ultimate! You get it in Chapter 5 after you've achieved Episode Complete for every area of the map. There are a ton of prerequisites for this, but if you've been going through and stopping at every area, you'll more than likely achieve everything you need to. But then again, if you missed Paine's Full Throttle, you may have missed something to get the Mascot which would give more reason to start over.

It's totally up to you, and I know you've spent some time playing to Chapter 3, so I would understand if you didn't want to start over again. The cool thing about FFX-2 is that you have New Game Plus, which means you get to start a new game with all the dresspheres (along with the AP), items, garment grids and accs you had before. So you can always finish up and play through a 2nd time to get everything you missed the 1st time.

Good news! I just finished battling Ifrit in Kilika and I don't seem to be dieing yet. I'm mainly relying on Rikku's special dressphere if any and I'm waaay off getting everything so theres not really much point in starting again if I don't need it. New Game+ does sound interesting though.
