Kain had overhead Golbez had become evil again. Kain was ready to confront him. The problem was, Kain wasn't sure whether he would join Golbez or fight him.
Kain looked ahead and saw Cecil and the rest of his team confronted with Golbez. Cecil and Golbez were engaged in a terrible sword fight.
“Should I help Cecil, or should I help Golbez?” Kain asked himself. “I really don't like either one. In fact, I like me better than both.”
Kain jumped fifty feet into the air and came crashing down on Cecil's head with his heavy boots. He did the same to Golbez. Then he turned to Cecil's scared party and said, “You shall become my party.” He laughed wickedly at his words.

Cecil's party tried to reason with Kain on letting them go free and to have Cecil as their leader. Kain simply laughed and said, “You are free to go... if you can defeat me.” The party didn't dare fight Kain, because he had the best of all their armor and weapons.
One day, in a fit of madness, Kain said, “I will jump to the sky and become ruler over all.” Kain jumped as high as he possibly could. But he soon realized that there was someone else in the clouds with him – a clown with wings. “Who are you?” shouted Kain. The clown simply laughed. Kain and the clown were soon engaged in a fight. The whole sky lit up as the two fought.
It was never known who won that battle, that day. But Cecil's party was free.
