Anyone else think that a million dollars worth of fancy graphics don't lead to a better game than a simple sprite-based game? Even voice acting seems unnecessary to make a good game-- I liked FF12:RW just as much as FF12. But I will say the gameplay was pretty inventive in both of them, for different reasons. FF12 had a pretty neat, auto-pilot kinda battle system, and FF12:RW was pretty neat cuz you got to lead your armies in a wave of destruction all over the place. That and the story being a little bit lacking in both-- no clear winner for me. But I'd recommend the other to anyone who enjoyed one.

I thought that FFXII was vastly superior to FFXII:RW.
I preferred the story and battle system more. I love both RPG and RTS games ... but I didn't really like this interpretation of RTS.

The main thing I hate about RW is the Yarhi/Espers. Meh, no comment, otherwise I'll just ruin it for everyone.

RW's plot is lacking in comparison to XII's, I find, which is seriously saying something. I won't count graphics, as they're on different platforms.

Yeah Revenant Wings and yeah based in Ivalice with the same party members, altho Vaan actually feels like he's the main character in this one :monster:

I actually think it's very good, especially for a handheld game, I wasn't all that keen on XII but they both have their merits
