  • Hey lads..I'm new in this forum and i must say it's incredible...I've been playing final fantasy games for more than 10 years..i just wanted to ask you guys which final fantasy game is your favorite..i know that threads like this have been over and over in past but remember i'm new here and i would love to read your opinions..:)
 
Hmmm, that is a hard one.


My first Final Fantasy game was VII so that clearly has a soft spot in my heart.


When I played Final Fantasy VIII for the first time in 2002 I was so blown away by it more then X or VII.


Final Fantasy Tactics i hated with a passion because of how hard I thought it was when I first played it but after spending around 15+ hours into it the game ended up becoming probably my favorite in the series.


I also LOVE Final Fantasy XI even though I didn't really play it more then 100 hours because I was so late to the game, but that will change when I play XIV.

Final Fantasy XII


tactics is probably my all time favorite
 
Intresting...About me..My favorite is defenitely Final Fantasy VII..The story is just perfect..i loved it and i will love it..After this i would choose Final Fantasy VIII and then Final Fantasy IX(why people hate it?) ..And in my opinion Final Fantasy X was the less intresting game in FF series..I dont want to insult anyone but i think tidus is not the right main character for a final fantasy game..i don't like his look..also the game has too much love story..and too much of anything is too much... :)
 
The first game i played was ffix, and i say that it's a nice game repeated it 3 times finishing it 2 times, but the game that really captures my attention with drama, love story on the game is FFX this is the best game i've ever played, nice songs story battle.

And the game that i hate is FFVII: DoC, actually it's a nice game but on my own opinion, SE made this to earn money and not to let gamers enjoy the story.

I respect your opinion, i've never played FFVII so, i actually don't know why people love the game. FFVII: AC or ACC is nice

Final Fantasy IV is my favorite game in the series. It has my favorite cast in the series, some of the best boss fights ever seen in the franchise, awesome music, and an enjoyable plot.

FF VI and FF IX are tied for second place. Both games have their strong points, and I still can't decide which one is the better game of the two.

FF V takes third place because of its job system. The storyline in V was also pretty enjoyable and I liked the characters in the game. Its an underrated game that never seems to get any love.

Final Fantasy I gets fourth place because I love that game. I love having the freedom to explore an world without being bound by developed characters or their backgrounds. Its fun to replay the game on a regular basis and create different parties to see how difficult the game will be.

Guess it would be Final Fantasy VII because basically grew up playing it, childhood memories and everything and guess that is what makes FFVII the big fav and the one that is most special..

But FFIV and FF VIII would come second and third
Or FFIV and FFIX would come second and third..

Really the Final Fantasy games are all so great isn't really sure what the top 5 should be wish could make all of them the top 5 but guess that's impossible =_='';

I'm so original, mines FFVII xD Probably partly due to it being my first one, but I do love it, I'm such a fan girl. I love the characters and the story is awesome with its little twists and whathaveyou, I remember first playing it thinking the whole game was just about blowing up these reactors, and that would be it, just work your way round doing missions xD

VIII & X are up there as well. I'm just a sucker for the romance in VIII, I can't help myself. I love SquallxRinoa
X well.... X has Auron. I need say no more on that matter. He is the best character ever. Plus I think the sphere grid is the best thing EVER invented. It's great
 
Final fantasy fucking seven, eight comes in second followed by ten.

No not because of Cloud, he's alright though. I like seven mostly due to Cid and Barret (and tifa of course :D)


Though, honestly square didn't need to make so many spin offs just to explain the whole story. >_>
 
Final Fantasy VII is easily my favourite Final Fantasy game, to me it is in a league of it's own, it's got some great music, the cast of characters is the best (Nanaki is one of my favourite characters of all time, my favourite of any FF characters. :awesome:), love the story, and the graphics were perfectly fine, even if they weren't as good as FFVIII, it was sufficient, the gameplay is just so good.

I liked the battle system too, the Materia system was a good one, some weapons and armor having more slots than others, while some of those others with less slots may have increased Materia growth rates of up to Triple. :D

Could do without the character Cait Sith though, don't like that character much. :/
 
Final Fantasy IX.

Everything about this title is pretty much perfect, the storyline is epic and the characters show real depth and have a great bond between one another and are all unique in one way or another. I also love the art directions, it's brilliant, but then again Amano's artwork generally is, it's bright and colourful, creative and overall original! Graphics were also fantastic, especially for that era of gaming.

Highly underrated game.
 
Final Fantasy 9 was the first FF game I played so probably Final Fantasy 9, but I also adore 8. I like 7 & 10 also. But IX would probably be my favorite :) .
 
final fantasy VII is by far my favourite of the series, it was the first final fantasy that i played and the first JRPG that i played so i was blown away by the gameplay, the story, the diversity of characters, the gold saucer lol and everything really. i actually liked the love story in FFX, its a bit cheesey i know but it helped break the game up from the endless streams of battles you had to fight. and also it was the first FF on PS2, so the enhanced graphics were amazing and i would have liked to see more fmv's, but VII is my favourite by far

Anyway, mines 8 because it was the first FF game and RPG I had played. So it was a wonderful new experince for me. Still 10 years on and I love it, still have my original copy and a back up lol. But yeah FFVIII for me always :-)
 
My favorite is X, it's just all around beautiful. VII comes in second.

Nah, best and favorite aren't quite the same thing. If someone said any one of the series was their favorite, they'd be right, but if they said any of the series except VI, VII or X was the best, I might argue that they were wrong. Best means quality, while favorite just means personal taste. For example, Return of the Jedi is my favorite Star Wars movie, but I admit Empire Strikes Back is better. Same with Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite, but Goblet of Fire is better. ;)

VII waz So Awesome! I love de Story! XII the only reason i hate it is becox of de characters! But the game is Cool =)

And VII is the Best FF game i ever played! xD
