Euthanasia - do you agree with it?

Faith is not a basis for real life decisions.

You set your alarm clock every night because you have faith it will wake you up the next day. You use soap when washing your hands because you have faith it will keep your hands clean. You put on a jacket before you go outside because you have faith that it's going to be cold. You turn on a light switch because you have faith that the lights will turn on. Do you really know for sure what's going to happen? Of course not. Faith is the basis for all real life decisions, if it wasn't, we'd all still be living in a cave.

Belief in god is a confession of intellectual failure and personal weakness. It doesn't have to mean you're a frikkin nut, yet that is the inevitable conclusion of people who are going to base their life-choices and nation's policies on the same intellectual bankruptcy and personal cowardice that subsume the definition of the word "faith."

I could just as easily say that atheism is an egotistical shell for people who are too weak or too stupid to follow a few simple religious laws. Can't stand not being able to commit adultery or steal? Denounce God and become an Atheist, because that's really going to solve all of your problems.

Yeah, right.

Listen to your own advice and respect that he may or may not be an Atheist.
I hate to admit it, but you are right.

@Crash,
Listen pal, I really don't care what you believe (or don't believe, whatever), sorry for the name calling, but still, there is no need to be posting like that (cowards and weak fools anyone?) not just this thread, I've seen your other posts and they gave me the impresion that you think that Christians or any believer is an idiot or stupid
I could actually quote you there

Now it sounds like if I were pseudo modding, I'm just letting know someone what I think.

On topic, I don't know how religion got onto this topic, but oh well,

We don't choose our birth and we don't chooce our death, but what if you could? What if you had a terminal illness that will kill you slowly and painfully, or that will make you and your family to go through an extensive and expensive treatment that would let your family in without money (there is an English word for that but I forgot it).

In this situation (that is not impossible) the patient doesn't wants to suffer like that he/she doesn't want that his family has to lose their money for him/her, when at the end it will just make his/her live a little linger, but he/she still dies.

If you were in that situation, wouldn't you like to die? and save all that pain and money, not just for you but also for the ones you love?

yes i agree with euthanasia. What good is a person who is in serious agony always wanting to die. what reason is there to keep that person alive if he/she doesnt want to live. The person is going to die anyway, only difference is, are you going to reduce the suffering, or just let this person suffer until they die anyway. This only applies to people with terminal illness of course. If the illness is treatable giving someone the chance to live several more years then no i dont think you should euthanise. Only if the person has weeks or months to live and are in agony, then euthanise if they request it.
