Dune

Have to say, its a very good sci-fi. The story and the technology in the novel is something I would expect to see in a sci-fi novel written today. And there is so much detail about the Dune universe its like it was real...

Has anyone else read it?

Yeah, I've read one of the books, I think it was the Atreides one, never finished it though but that was only because the book report was due way too soon.
I loved the sci-fi part of it, and basically teh Fre-men.
Awesome read, in fact, I'll look for it tomorrow.

Don't read the ones by Brian Herbert and KJA. The only books you actually need to read are Dune and Dune Messiah, the rest by Frank are good as well but Messiah finishes in a good way and since Children of Dune onwards starts to get a bit weird and he never finished the series himself it's best to just get them.
