OK can someone explain to me how and what the final fantasy series is about

It's a non-sequential series...unless otherwise stated, the games don't really have anything to do w/one another and thus exist separate from one another.

So, basically, they're all about different things...mostly magical creatures, demonic entities, evil empires, & all sorts of colorful characters. Y'know? Like any self-respecting RPG series.
