Driving Mode

Don't know if anyone noticed it. Anyway it was new for me.

I just entered the Japanese site of FFXIII (which has a lot of english anyway) to see new things. There I found a cool picture.

It looked strange to me because of the strange bar in the bottom-left.
Then I saw the "Driving Mode" and got the idea.
So it seems that it is possible to change into "Driving Mode" during battle, and that is AWESOME!!!

It seems as it is possible to use some buttons combinations for as* kicking attacks or something too (like Zell's limit break or something).
Maybe when summons change into something, the player enters into "Limit Break mode" or something. Or maybe not...


What do you all think?

Watch that trailer and you'll see that it is, indeed, possible to enter 'Driving Mode' during battle (I think it was confirmed earlier on). It is also said (click here) that when you enter 'Driving Mode' it turns into more of an Action game in that you can freely roam around the area in question and attack enemies (by mowing into them, I assume). The unique bar for the mode is, as you said, much like Zell's Limit Break in that you have to chose from several button combinations in order to perform the attacks available (As shown in the above trailer). Oh, and btw, just in case it wasn't known the Shiva sisters have been named Styria and Nix (click here)

I know that the shiva sisters can combine together to become a motorcycle which snow can use to ride on during battle when he summons them.

It seems I am the only one who didn't see it before...

Well, there is no thread about it anyway so...


I thought he can use the motorcycle only in FMVs or somethings.
I see I guessed how it works in battle more or less...

I think it is the first game I ever see in which the battle system changes during battle.
