Chocobo Breeder
I attended the Final Fantasy Dear Friends concert in the Chicago area at the Rosemont Theater in February 2005 along with my boyfriend. I was wondering if anyone else attended one of the concerts during the Dear Friends tour.
I was amazed at the diversity of people attending the concert. From the young to the old. From dressing in a suit and tie to cosplay. It was awesome to see and an experience I'll never forget.
There are a few moments that stand out for me during the concert. One was when "Vamo' Alla Flamenco" was played by an immensely talented guitarist. After the intermission "Aeris' Theme" was played. The guy behind me summed it all by saying, "Great, now I'm gonna cry like a little b$tch." I took a few seconds to look around at everyone while the music was playing and I could see the sad expressions on their faces while the climactic events involving Aeris played out on the screens. Last but not least, Nobuo Uematsu came out at the end to share a few words with everyone. He stated the name of the concert was meant to show his appreciation of the gamers and music fans that made FF well known and was a heartfelt thanks.
