you CAN put the sephiroth you use during the nibelhelm flashback on your team with a gameshark...but theres glitches

You can't control him - without another code

You cant have him in your team or roster if you've unlocked Vincent.

its not worth it really....

Or if you're playing the PC version, there's a sort of hack where you can replace the Cloud sprite with a Sephiroth one.

Meh. With Gameshark, there's probably a lot of things you can do. It doesn't really shock me that you can use Sephiroth.
