I've been a fan of Depeche Mode for quite awhile. For those unfamiliar with the band, Depeche Mode is a synth-pop/goth rock band that has been successful and has been around since the eighties, brought into mainstream success by the songs 'Just Can't Get Enough', 'People Are People', 'Enjoy The Silence', 'The World In My Eyes', and 'Judas'.

Recently I bought the 'Playing the Angel' album, and love all the tracks on it, but particularly 'A Pain That I'm Used To', 'John the Revelator', 'Precious', 'Suffer Well', and 'Lilian'. Of which, 'Lilian' is my personal favorite.

Anywho... What is your opinion of this highly-influential band?

Depeche Mode! Whoo! Great band. Love them. Strangelove is probably my favorite song by them... but I also like their cover of Personal Jesus. Just Can't Get Enough is classic but it's... kinda annoying. I could listen to Strangelove over and over for hours... in fact I have. Ironically, due to your avatar, I read all of the 8-bit theatre comics one summer day listening to that song on repeat. haha

'cover'? 'Personal Jesus' was their song to begin with. xP

Lol Guess you're right. Sorry about that. I just know a lot of people covered the song, so I thought it wasn't theirs originally. I also like that album cover now that I look it up on Wikipedia. Girls butt :D

Yeah, 'Personal Jesus' and 'Enjoy the Silence' are their two most-covered songs. 'Personal Jesus' is mostly covered by bands who claim the song as as a good song to play for shock value (like Manson). I, however, think it's a song making fun of tele-evangelists. xDDD
