To me it looks like Microsoft Game Studios obviously weren't too happy with Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey since they have no wish to carry on with this project. I wonder what's going to happen with Sakaguchi and Mistwalker if Microsoft aren't going to continue with their support.

Oh my god, Microsoft thanks a lot b1tch!

Does that mean we are not gonna get Lost Odyssey 2 too >_<
Geez Mistwalker must consider their minds go multiplatform...

I kinda understand Microsoft in this situation really. They put a lot of money and confidence into Mistwalker, and ultimately, they failed to deliver.

They failed to deliver what exaclty? :cookie:

A great game like Lost Odyssey wich IGN and Gamepsot had to give it a 7.5 while the gamers who played it gave it on their user Reviews an above 8.5?
It didn't sold too much and apparently Blue Dragon didn't not (that was a horrible game even though some liked it) either.

So i guess it's all about the $$ nowdays...

I like what the 360 has to offer, but yeah, Microsoft has been pretty cold-corporate with their practices lately.

It's always been about the money. It's just such a bigger factor no these days because the cos tto make games is so high, it's rare t osee a companie take a ris kwith something.

Well there's Nintedo where 60% of it's games are risky :monster:
Microsoft should let the companies do what they want.
I mean 360 allready has a bunch of AWFUL ridiculus games, what's wrong with Mistwalker wich is only a great company making serious titles?
And Microsoft does have enough money not to worry about any failures or anything....

Phew...what else to say...

Microsoft do let the companies do what they want. They have just decided to stop paying Mistwalker's bills. When Microsoft decided to support Mistwalker, they were likely hoping for JRPGs as succesful as Sakaguchi's Final Fantasy titles. That and they were likely hoping that Mistwalker could help the 360 finally become a serious contender on the Japanese market.

I think it's pretty safe to say that neither ended up happening.

Well sure that is right ;)
360 to become a serious contender in Japan needs much more than just a couple of RPG's made by Hironobu...
And after all these things need time!
Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were just the first attempts and i bet lots of Japanese people got those games in their 360!
But in order for someone to purchase a 360 for a single game/franshice something more must be done ;)
Well anyway to keep on topic i just might add that if i don't witness the sequel to Lost Odyssey on 360... i might as well bomb the HQ of Micorsoft
