Water Or Coke ???
Which one is the 'Real Thing' ???

We all know that water is important but you've never seen it written down like this before.

WATER
1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half world population.)

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50%less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

COKE
1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would YOU like a glass of water or Coke?

I'd have a glass of water than a glass of coke, thank you very much.
I drink water on average about 10 glasses or more a day.
I only ever have coke during parties and whatnot, because frankly, it's not all that healthy, judging by the thread.

I love water anyway.

I used to be really into soda when I was growing up, but unfortunately, I started suffering very bad bladder infections from the extensive syrup, sugar, and acid that some drinks push through your system.

Bladder and unrinary track infections are serious business. It causes you to bleed on the inside of your bladder. Typically, during one of these infections, you can see blood in your urine or on your teetee paper after you wipe...Not to mention that your urine starts to smell unbelievably bad.

Unfortunately for me, after I started getting bladder infections, I've had problems with simple sugary drinks like lemonade and some juices.

Cokes are a no go for me. I couldn't drink one if I wanted to. =\

I'm trying to drink more water but I usually have something with caffiene in it in the morning to wake up.

I drink much more water now than I used to after studying the kidneys in A&P class. XD

You have to drink water to take care of your kidneys, and your kidneys are what keep dirty things out of your body. ^__^

Supposedly water consumption keeps your lymph nodes clean too?
Lymph nodes? I'm sure I spelt that all wrong...

If you notice that you're having pain like between your hip bone and the line between your leg and your crotch (lol) that means that your lymph nodes may be infected.

I'm pretty sure it's lymph NOIDS, but whatever.

Kidney doner here ^^ i donated my kidney to my cousine because hers was infected so i have to have 8 glasses of water a day but i do some times drink coke/soda/soft drink

Awww, thats so kind of you.

I drink water...a lot. I've been drinking water for six years now. What encouraged my was my dentist. I had too many cavities....T_T I've been trying to drink soda now, since drinking only water isn't good for you....

I drink only beer and wine, about a case of each per day.

I prefer the beer with my name on it, as you'll see in my signature, and for a wine a good white shiraz.
