_Chaos Incarnate_
FINAL FANASY X:

A day of wrath will dissolve the world into glowing ashes.
Death shall be amazed when creation rises again.
Give them eternal rest,
And let perpetual light shine on them;
O hear my prayers

Eternal rest...rest
And let perpetual light shine on them
Grant them rest

Synopsis

The Machina War was an event that occurred one thousand years prior to the events of Final Fantasy X. It was a war waged between the city of Bevelle and the city of Zanarkand. It is unknown what caused the war to start, but what is known is that the war ended with the creation of Sin which caused death and sorrow for the next 1000 years.
In the war, Zanarkand relied on their Summoners while Bevelle built Machina so powerful, civilians worried that they could destroy Spira. One machina of note was Vegnagun, which could not be used due to its sheer power and was stored away underneath Bevelle in secret.
In the end, it was obvious that Bevelle's might would win the war very easily and that Zanarkand's summoners would not stand any chance of fighting them. Knowing this, Zanarkand's leader Yu Yevon turned all surviving citizens of Zanarkand into Fayth in order to summon a Dream Zanarkand. He then created Sin, which ultimately destroyed Zanarkand.
As soon as the news of Sin reached Bevelle, a ceasefire was instantly called and the war ended.

PROLOGUE
Through an imperial city of Zanrkand, the night sky stood motionless to the blistering lights of the city. The moon shone brilliantly but only some noticed. For the Machina strewn city dazzled and glistened as the million stars of the sky. Beyond these many towers and buildings stood the Grand hall of Zanarkand and the imperial seat of the ruler, Yu Yevon.

“The war will proceed than there is nothing we can do to stop it.” An elderly voice spoke. His voice echoed in the vast chamber he was present in. “But Father, if we send word to Bevelle that we are no threat to them what-so-ever then mayhap they will not strike at all!”
“…we cannot take that chance, if we pull back now Bevelle will still strike my city.” A bald-headed man with the most piercing violet eyes huffed. His long blood-crimson robes draped around him in a swirl of elements. The wrinkles around his old face and his grasping eyes brought a form of authority to him. “I am ruler, daughter. I must do what I can to protect my city!”

“Then what of its inhabitants, father!? What of its people? Will you cower in your Grand Halls and have others fight your war? The people are frightened of this fight, and all you take heed upon is protecting your beautiful lightened city!?” Yunalesca’s voice grew louder. Anger erupted in her eyes as her father simply stared at her.

“Enough Yunalesca.” He said. “, the battle will commence…General Landon.” Yu Yevon called and at that a large man in his prime with long ebony hair tied up in a pony tail and heavy dark amour waltzed into the hall, his black eyes scanned between the good Lady and Yu Yevon. His face blemished by two long scars running down his right cheek and ended at his defined jaw bone; kneeling in front of his master. “Sir?”
“Have your men ready for battle. I will round up the summoners” he spit with dignity and turned away. “, and my dear, I do wish you will fight along side your people. They would like to have you there.”

Yunalesca’s head sunk into her chest, her heart pounded with hatred for her father’s actions, “Yes Father, I will see to it…” Yu Yevon disappeared behind the long clashing falls of crimson curtains. “My Lady, you must see this through your father’s point of veiw. He is only doing what is best for his people.” Landon dialoged.
“No General. Not his people…” her head shot up and she gazed at Landon. “He can have his city but I will protect my people!” And she stormed off behind her father.

A sky painted with the heavy colors of dawn’s sorrow, splashed along the orange firmament and blending into the sun struck clouds. The city of Zandarkand was lit by the sun, slower and slower it rose to the sky trapped behind the saddened clouds.

Lenne, a summoner and prayer to the Fayth of the dragon king Bahamut was moved to the front lines of combat. As she walked from her first given post to the front lines she looked out at the long lines of combaters; her emerald eyes skimming the processions of fighters; looking for her beloved. But to no heed did she find him; they all stood tall and wore their duplicated armor. She wafted out a sigh and looked down at the brown earth; her hair fell past her shoulders, almost covering her face under her light brown strands. The earrings she wore were long strands of blue, green, and turquoise beads that also shot down just inches below her well-defined collarbone. She shifted her feet forward and kept her path while her white robe drifted on the dirt-ridden grounds causing small puffs of dirt to rise up whenever it dragged along.

She took her place along her comrades and looked on straight. Lenne reached her arms up to pull the white hood over her head. She closed her eyes and released another sigh, a hint of nervousness in her breath. Lenne realized that she might not survive this war and she wanted to say goodbye to Shuyin before she died.

Lenne scanned the horizon for the first glimpse of the machines of destruction, the Machina.
A while after their wait a messenger came running to the commander in charge. She was a tall and slender woman with silver hair and pale skin; she wore light weight armor that showed her level of authority in the army and always walked barefoot. Her name was Lady Yunalesca and she was the daughter of the ruler of Zandarkand, Yu Yevon. “Malady, scouts have brought word of the Bevellian army making their way towards the city from the southeast of Gagazet!”

“How heavily are they equipped with their Machina?” Yunalesca asked the man.

“Gravely.” He replied. Yunalesca nodded stiffly and turned to her army. “Those who have beloved around, please say your farewells. This battle would last and our swords might not be enough to hold them off.

“, We are gifted by the Fayth for a cause and we must use our summons if we want to win this war! Now, commence your prayers to the Fayth and call upon the beast you clasp within your hearts! For we shall not go down, we shall not falter under their Machina and we shall not lose this fight! For the Fayth and my Father, we fight!” Yunalesca ended her speech with a loud blast of uproar from her army. She turned to where her opponents would come from. Closing her eyes the wind shifted and a large violet glyph fazed in behind her and a white and electric blue mare broke out from the glyph. The mare’s red eyes shinned and its long golden horn glistened with a spark of lightning standing on the tip of it.

Yunalesca straddled her thunderous griffon and charged into battle with her people following her. Lenne ran with the others, staff held in her hand she called upon the dragon Bahamut, thanked the Fayth and then sat on the dragon’s large shoulder as it rose to the skies and embarked out to the battle lines.

Chapter 1: Hello Immortality

The loud murmurs of thousands of people filled the warm noon air with a summer daze. The people clad in colorful attire and painted faces for one of their favorite ethereal Faythes.
Bahamut Bombers in lovely flows of purple and gold, violet streaks running down the sides of their faces and divine waves of sky-blue lines ran up their arms representing the Dragon King's powerful flames.

The Queen's Beauties, all female, waltz their way down the Grand Zanarkand Halls clad with beautiful ice-blue and navy wraps, diamond jewels increased their earlobes and slender necks, and golden beadings in their braided hair; while the Laragorn Goons, as they liked to be called, slithered in the halls with extravagant arrays of blood crimson and deep emerald. The Aquatic Maidens, hailing off the Fayth and aeon Godiva also came in sea-blue wraps and clear crystal diamonds.

The beautiful and colorful sights of the festival was awe-inspiring as Ellone walked into the hall looking exquisite with her ice-blue eyes and the official Summoner Dress of white robes with a mezzo design of a pink-rose color bordered the edges. She wore her long chocolate brown hair down and had a golden clip on the side of her head just above her right ear. Her brother Biggs followed right behind, catching glances at the beautiful woman dressed for the grand event. And what a grand event it was as this way the day that all the summoner apprentices get to go the full mile by achieving the great feat of calling on to the powers of one of the Faythes to bestow upon them the help of magical dreamt up beings called "Aeons".

"Oh my, isn't this wonderful Biggs!" Ellone called out to her little brother as his eyes darted here and there between all the cheerful clamor and fun. ", today is the day, I can feel it! I finally get to be a full fledged Summoner today! I'm so exited!" she spit gleefully.

"I'm really happy for you El!" replied Biggs with a big grin. Biggs was nineteen years old and he wore it with pride. The teen had golden sun-kissed skin next to his pale sister, a rocking set of abs and toned arms. Dirty-blonde hair stuck up in every-which-way around his head while he shared the same eye color of his older sister. He wore nothing on his chest but a sleeveless black vest that reached exactly to the endings of his rib cage, A pair of long, baggy, black shorts that draped down to the shin and a thin red belt snaked itself around his waist.

Just then horns began to play just beyond the halls to the Zanarkand Dome. Everybody started to shuffle to the dome to start off the grand event. Ellone ran in excitedly with many others wearing the same dressings with her. The people in the colorful attires cheered them on and followed close behind. When they made their way into the large open room there came a beautiful yet scantily clad woman with lovely, long, silky silver hair that almost licked the polished floors of the hall. She stood midway down the staircase and put up a slender manicured hand as the applause and screams ceased to echo and began: "my good people. I, Yunalesca of Zanarkand, thank you for accompanying your fellow summoners here today! They have worked long and hard for the past years mastering the arts of prayer and healing. Now, it is their time to finally master the power of an Aeon bestowed upon them by which ever of the Faythes they desire to pray to." She paused while the applause and shouts started again, then continued: ", but heed this my faithful Summoners. The trials you are about to face might be the hardest you have ever to overcome yet." She made her way down a newly formed line of men and woman in the white robes. ", but I do know all of you will be more than capable." She grinned.

"Without further waiting. I, Yunalesca of Zanarkand and the apprentice summoners call upon the powers of the Fayth to dream before us the Scion Tower!" cheers began to burst here and there and just then drums began to play loudly throughout the hall while the people in white began to wave long bejeweled staffs into the air. They spun and waltz and leaped into the air while their robes flowed around in the air. They bobbed their heads forward and backwards with their bodies and staffs. They spun around simultaneously and stomped loudly as the drums got louder and louder. Finally millions of little pyreflies started to dance down before all the people and plant themselves on the onyx tile and began to build up as a tall tower.

The drums stopped playing. Yunalesca moved up to the tower of lights and tapped it slightly with the tip of her middle finger as they burst up into the air and exploded in a beautiful color-strained aura and there before them there stood a towering onyx stone building with hundreds of window cells. The summoners stopped their dance and made their way into the newly formed tower.

Ellone began to tremble within the tower. It was dimly lit and damp until she tread upon a little deep pond. She looked at her reflection within the still water, her face looked strained and frightened until her reflection lightened up and shot a weak smile at her. Ellone was taken aback by the scene. She ran her thoughts threw her head quickly to check if her sanity was intact. She shook the feeling off and went back to the water. Ellone's reflection came to stare at her almost devilishly then pointed up directly at her. Ellone looked up at the dark ceiling and saw a small blue orb. She reached up for it and pulled it off the roof. The room turned pitch black then. Ellone's breath stopped dead in her throat. She turned around slowly, being cautious enough not to fall into the deep pond of water but just as she turned around she lost the little glass ball and it rolled down on the dark floor. She heard a crusting sound that sent a cool chill down her spine as the room got extremely cold all of the sudden.

The lights came back on with a dim blue hue. The liquid pond that stood before Ellone was now replaced with a crystal-ice pond instead. Ellone looked back up to the roof and found the blue orb right back where it was. She moved down the pond, treading slowly on the layer of ice. Just as she crossed the waters the ice shattered and the liquid substance took over again. She ran down the length of the room and found her way out into a a circular room with emerald sashes running down the walls.

"Well done, child." Echoed a gentle voice throughout the room. Ellone gasped as a transparncy of a young woman appeared before her, she bowed to the Fayth. ", well then child, who would you prefer to bestow you with an Aeon?"

Ellone stood still for a moment, her gaze meeting the floor, " the Fayth Godiva, mistress of the waters." The Fayth bowed before her as he was replaced by a beautiful, naked blue-haired woman.

"You call to me now Summoner. I shall see if you are worthy of accepting my aeon." The blue-haired woman spoke. Ellone nodded her head and got down on her knees. She placed her palms together and began to chant in a otherworldly language. Minutes passed by until she felt something warm fill up her insides. ", well done my dear…it is done." the fayth said to her. Ellone stood up with pride, thanked the Fayth and ran out into the dome where everyone cheered her on. She looked around and saw that only few on the summoners were out of Scion.

"Ellone Bedlam." Yunalesca's voice echoed. "Well done on completing the trail of the fayth. Now, would you show us what the Fayth has dreamt for you?"

Ellone nodded. She sat on the ground with her legs tucked underneath her long white robe. She held her staff out then pointed it directly upwards towards the open air. A large water bubble formed on the tip of her staff and slowly flew into the air. She stood up and pressed her index finger to the bubble. The bubble burst and a large amount of sun struck azure water wrapped itself all around Ellone. Ellone pointed her staff upwards again while the sea of liquid collected at the tip. She closed her eyes and called out to the aeon, but just as she did so a painful jolt ran through her body. Ellone's ears began to ring loudly and sharply. She look up and saw the water begin to darken and boil. Immense heat built up within her and she screamed in pain.

'Ellone!" her brother called in distress and dashed towards her. Just before he could reach her the boiling water exploded. Biggs shielded his face from the searing substance but when he looked back at his sibling her say he sprawled up on the ground gasping for air as a gigantic, monstrous black beast with four fiery horns stood flouting above her in midair. The beast roared then disappeared into the air with a loud bang! A small, shallow crater engulfed the ground that Ellone was lying on now unconscious. "ELLONE!" Biggs ran to her side followed by Yunalesca and a crowd of people.

"Make room, make room! Damned neck-rubbers!" shot an elderly voice from the crowd as a guado woman came into view with dark green grassy hair and violet eyes. She gazed at Biggs. ", are you her sibling, child?" the guado asked. Biggs nodded. ", very well, bring her back to your house, I shall treat her there without the hassle of all these people!" she spit to the crowd rudely. Biggs didn't know what to do or say, he simply nodded to the guado.
