Ok, last night when I got home from work, I turned on my copy of Final Fantasy III for DS, and it said something along the lines of "The save file has been corrupted..."

I'm thinking my girlfriend accidentally shut off my DS when it was saving, and it corrupted my save file. So, is there any way to erase the save memory on FF3 DS? I can still get into the game, and start a new file. Would it be OK just to save over the corrupt file?

I'm sure there's a way to erase save data. I don't have my DS on me at the moment, so I can't check to make sure. Still, I can't imagine there wouldn't be an option to delete files.

And I would think saving over the corrupted file would be fine.

Ok, I saved over the corrupted file, and it works fine now. Unfortunately, there wasn't any option to erase save files I could see (I even tried several button codes on the file select screen, and nothing)...

(side note: I think Square-Enix put a complex button code in for erasing all data, like what Nintendo did with Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, etc.)

And, since my problem has been solved, can this be closed now?

Wow...you're right. I'm messing with the game now and can't find a place to delete save files. I suppose the only option is saving over existing files.
