bring back the classics!

While I enjoyed the Final Fantasy IV remake, I'm more interested in seeing a Final Fantasy collection that has the games as they originally appeared when they first came out. Make a collection comprised of Final Fantasy I-X and Tactics and put it on the 360 and PS3.

No frills, no changes, just perfectly emulated versions of these games as they originally appeared on their old systems. Something along the lines of the Mega Man collections, the Sonic Mega Collection, and the various other collections that have appeared over the years.

the only issue i see with that is the insane amount of difficulty there was in the original versions. the first two final fantasies were near ridiculously hard to get a hold on and try and beat. newer versions are much more toned down and easier to pick up and play. that's not to say it's a FANTASTIC idea, i would love the emulations just as well, but a lot of newer players won't be able to enjoy the difficulty. if they can use the new systems but keep the graphics, i would definitely buy it.

That's my problem with all the newer ones except the opposite. Ever FF after V(I've never played V so I dont know) is so easy it's essentially a movie.

I think it sounds like an awesome idea, except, I personally think that Final Fantasy VII-X are perfect the way they are now. I don't think they need up to date graphics or voiceovers to make it any better, because VII-X cannot get any better than they already are.

Since Square-Enix already made a remake for I & II on the PSP, they don't need to do another one, and they also made remakes for III & IV on the DS. But if they remade Final Fantasy V & VI, that would be awesome. Especially if they made the graphics look like the remakes for I & II on the PS1.

just an idea, i hope people support me on this, but i'm just thinking of the idea of bringing final fantasy 1-10 onto the psp. would that be a good idea? of course, all of them would be in 3d with up-to-par graphics. maybe some each on one umd or each seperately and new content for each game (ie: new voice overs, dungeons, items, etc.) do you think square enix should consider this or just a waste of time

It would be a good idea, but would require much time on Square's part. Time they might not have, what with the new ideas/games coming in all the time. They might even consider it a waste of money. The most they could do is put all these games on PSN, and even that might be a problem :hmmm:

I wouldn't mind that, as I want FFVI in present graphics as soon as possible, but I am not sure that they can do that now.
