If Vivi is the prototype of black mages,does a prototype for black waltzes exist? If it does,I think it would be kept in one of the rooms that connected to that secret spiral staircase chamber.

What if Vivi was a black waltz prototype? 83 How awesome would that be?
I always saw Vivi as the prototype for all the different black mage types, including the waltzes. Sure the waltzes were a bit more specialized than type 1, 2, and 3, but they were still essentially black mages.
I'm not so sure if it exists, but maybe it does, it just wasnt mentioned.
Maybe it went beserk with power and had to be destroyed. There are many
speculations i have about this. Maybe vivi is indeed that prototype

I thought that Black Mages themselves were the prototypes of the Black Waltzes? I remember Zorn and thorn say that they made the Black Waltz "too powerful" number 3, I think. So, wouldn't it make sense for the Black Mages to be the Black Waltz prototype? Since then Zorn and Thorn could create stronger versions?
Yeah im pretty sure Vivi was the prototype... which is supposed to last much longer than the other regular black mages... though i don't exactly remember who made him.... was it Kuja or Zorn and Thorn.... im almost positive it was Kuja....

What I don't get is the fact that if Vivi was a prototype for the black mages, why he lasted so long. I understand he was supposed to last long-ER, but there's a massive difference between 1 year and 9 years (Vivi's age in the game).
It seemed that Kuja had been the one to create Vivi,just because of his overall attitude towards the mage, whereas he seems like he'd be more aloof if he hadn't. Or that's just me reading waaaaay too much into this game.
Also, with the black waltzes, you have to wonder how they're controlled considering that they seem to have their own wills. Theories anyone?
