Beating Hyne

I have a scholar, but after I study him, he uses barrier shift then my spell does no good. What am I doing wrong? My characters are at lvl 20.

I tied again at lvl 21 and it was all good.

Hyne keeps changing what magic he's weak against, when you study him it'll give you what he's weak against but only cast the magic once as he will quickly change it again, it's all about the timing with Hyne. Be careful you may end up healing him instead... Good way is to learn when he will use the magic barrier agian, time it when he'll next attack.
