Nickelodeon should rename this show "Avatar: The Last Good American Animated Series". My brother and I watched the whole (well, the first 18 episodes, the last 2 haven't been released yet) second season over Thanksgiving break, all of the episodes downloaded from the iTunes video store and replayed on TV. As you can imagine, we follow the series pretty religiously.
It seems like the main reason some people are reluctant to see this show is that it airs on Nickelodeon. They assume that it's going to be like Spongebob or Rugrats simpily because of that- which is a silly idea, since Samurai Jack was on Cartoon Network and that was a great epic series. However, there is another key difference between the two- Avatar is still on TV. We last saw Aang after he FINALLY delivered the message to the Earth King about the Fire Nation, Long Feng is in jail, and Azula really screwed up life for everyone.
Any comments?
