Are there any superbosses in this game?

Tomy knowledge they are no super bosses inthis game tha hardest monsters in the game have to be the ones in the chests they are very hard if you are not well prepared. If anyone knows of any optional boss enlighten me please.

owkeey thank you. Gonna go google another walkthrough for this game to get uber armor/weapons and items and stuff xD

After taking out Kefka in the GBA version you unlock an optional dungeon with some extra bosses in it. It's called the dragons den, and in it you fight upgraded versions of the eight dragons, and an even more powerful new dragon called the Kaiser dragon. After you beat him you can return to his lair later and fight Omega weapon, who is even stronger.

I'm fairly sure there's an additional optional superboss in the GBA version of the game - Kaiser Dragon - he guards the esper Diablos.

Although there are 8 dragons throughout the game, they are mainly optional bosses (from what I remember) but I don't think you could call them superbosses.

There are alot of optional bosses in this game. You don't need to find everyone in the world of ruin. As soon as you have Setzer you can jet off and take out Kefka if you're tuff enough.

Atma

There is also Atma weapon that drops an increadable sword (Atma Weapon) but by no means would I call him a <Mega Boss>

I wouldn't, because fighting him is compulsory.

But, in saying that. Atmaweapon is the coolest looking boss, and if I developed the game I would of made him an optional side quest in the WOR and made him overpowered. A level 20 or whatever team shouldn't beat that creature that is "as ancient as the cosmos"

Please don't double post, use the edit button, thanks

Not sure about the GBA version, but Im prety sure the PS ver. doesnt have any super bosses, closest thing I came to was those annoying dragons, but they werent anything 'super'....

Playing this game, I realized that the only 'super' enemies in general were actually the brontaurs in the dinosaur forst. (see: just above the veldt. Even looks like a dinoasur head.) That monster casts disaster (every known status effect, similar to bad breath), ultima, and has massive physical power. Even with a ribbon equipped, it's a tough fight. But, you can get economizers from fighting it, so that's a major reason to hunt them. Actually, it's possible to hack the FFIII (or VI, whichever you wanna call it) ROM and add your own super boss if you want. I made X-Death and put him as an optional low-level boss in the first world. I've been making super bosses for the game to make it harder. Actually, I increased the second Atma's stats so he WAS stronger than Kefka. In my game, he's officially an entity of the cosmos. :P

I think that the original FFVI is totally devoid of any optional superbosses, but it doesn't really matter, since the game is challenging enough anyway xD

However, I think they've added a superboss in the GBA Version...I want to say Kaiser Dragon, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Ultima Weapon isn't optional and it doesn't drop Ultima weapon.
You have to beat the 8 dragons to unlock the Dragon's Den,not Kefka.
In the GBA version you also fight Gilgamesh,Leviathan and Gigantuar.

I would throw Intangir in with that lot. Not technically a boss (well, no more than the monsters of Dinosaur Forest anyways), but certainly the strongest WoB enemy you're going to encounter...Invisible with Meteo counter...you need high M. Def just to survive a volley against him...unless you're playing a version with the Vanish+Doom/X-Zone bug in it, that is...But you get mightily rewarded for defeating one with something like 20 AP...I always thought it was lame that Gau wasn't able to use Meteo once he learned the Intangir Rage though...:(
