I own FF Origins, the NES to PS1 port of FF1 and FF2. As far as I know, the games are the same as the original NES versions (just some CGI movie in the beginning of each game)

To anyone whose played the various versions, would you think it would be worth getting the latest remakes of the games available? I've seen the PSP versions of FF1 and FF2 and have been told there's extra content (including plot points too) in those remakes, but am I missing out much if I only play the the Origins game I already have?

You're not missing out on too much if you just stick to the originals. From what I recall of the remakes of FFI and FFII, for PSP, they've basically added a super-dungeon in each and cleared up a few translation errors. And fixed the stat-leveling glitch in FFII.

So, no. You're not missing out on too much. Although, I will say that the games play really smoothly and look gorgeous on the PSP. :lew:

They certainly are beautiful, and as someone that lives a ways away from work/school and has his primary game playing time between the two, portable games are vital. If you want a nice, clean, lovely looking version of 1 and 2, the PSP versions are a good place to go.

Alternatively, for maximum portability, a GBA and the Dawn of Souls (1&2) cart will work even better.

As per your actual question, though, you're not really missing out on anything.

FFI - It's worth it.
FFII - Also worth it.
FFIII - Worth it.
FFIV - DEFINITELY worth it.

Mod Edit: A little bit more effort imto your post would be appreciated, perhaps state reasons why they are worth it?
