Arcana? Please indulge me!

I am at the point in the game now where i just unlocked the vase that you can buy for 250,000 g. Is this worth getting. What are arcana and why do i need them? I'm not fully upgraded on my equipment yet, i have 125,000 saved and building fast, should i wait and upgrade later, slurge and get this Vase? or upgrade fully and get the vase later? Thanks for your timely input!

or if you want to get a few of the other items from the bazzar

I just sell them off for Bazzar items or gil.

Thats exactly what you're supposed to do with them lol, you sell them off and when you've sold enough of them (and the other right items) you get some good equipment.
