Anyone else have trouble getting the Blizzard for Fafnir to appear?

I've read several strategies,like rezoning from the Feywood,that there's a certain path you need to follow,etc.I just quit after trying for about 40 minutes and I checked IGN and heard the above,and I haven't tried them yet.I need a break before I see another frakking snowflake.Anyone else have trouble?Especially when there are no hints or directions from the petitioner or anyone else?

which one are you talking about?
 
Fafnir is the one in the West Silverflow End in the Paramine Rift.There has to be a blizzard for him to appear.
 
Check it out, Fafnir will only appear when there is a blizzard. You CANNOT get to the area where Fafnir is by going through the central (EAST) path. You MUST go west and then south to get to his area. Damn I wish I could remember the actual name of the area but I'm at work at the moment. There's a central eastish area that has like 3 or 4 paths to it. I think it's called "Frozen" something. If you go here then the blizzard will disappear. You can get to Fafnir by going West and South from the Client without going into that area. Fafnir will be waiting. I hope this helps.
