Name – Alastor Levitas
Title – Rasengintsuki no Seikou Mai (Delicate Spiral Dance of the Silver Moon)
Alignment – True Neutral
Race – Chocobo.
Chocobos are a type of flightless bird, usually six to ten feet tall when full grown. Their entire body, barring legs, eyes, and beak, is covered with feathers, though the coloration varies greatly, from yellow to black to green to blue. A chocobo's greatest strength is most likely its legs, which are extremely strong and capable of climbing mountains with ease.
There is a rumor as to the purpose of their wings. Some say that chocobos evolved to live on the land, losing the need for their wings. Others say that the wings of the chocobo carry them not into the skies above, but into the world of Darkness, the only creatures walking the earth able to do such a feat.
Gender – Male
Age – 25
Appearance – Alastor is a towering 270cm tall, but then again, he's a chocobo, not a human. He weighs 170 kilos, which is about average for his size. Alastor's form is majestic, to say the least. His plumage is a fiery red with elaborate black markings, almost runic, along some of the larger feathers. The wings are surprisingly large for a chocobo, bearing a wingspan of perhaps 200cm, though this still doesn't allow him to fly. His legs are very muscular, and this is where his greatest strength comes from.
Attire/Armor – Aside from a few choice black beads to accompany his elegant plumage, Alastor wears neither clothes nor armor. He's a chocobo, after all.
Appearance in a nutshell -

Personality – Alastor is surprisingly smart for a chocobo, though that's a relative scale. He's able to follow commands and plan his own strategies, but when it comes to anything requiring a huge amount of brainpower, he's at a loss.
He can't exactly tell if he's being insulted, but being abused is a whole other story. If you decide to abuse Alastor, watch out—his kicks hurt, his 'dances' even more.
Alastor will not spark fights, and prefers to be helpful. If one earns his trust, he will repay them in kind, allowing the person to ride on his back, and protecting them with his life if need be.
First Impression – One's first impression of Alastor might be "Damn, that's one big chocobo". They might also notice the intricate patterns on his feathers. In general, the first thing someone will probably notice is his 'regal' appearance, though such an opinion will usually be quickly overridden by a friendly nudge from Alastor.
Strength – Being a chocobo, Alastor is built for carrying heavy loads. He can bear 200kg on the move pretty easily, though anything beyond 250kg puts a serious strain on him.
His kicks are brutal due to the sheer leg strength he possesses, and on the 500 HP scale, he'd be hitting well into the eighties at the very least, and that's without any of his 'dances' kicking in. No pun intended.
Vitality/Stamina -- Chocobos and humans aren't rated on the same scale, but for comparison's sake, a blunt weapon's hardly going to faze Alastor. Too much plumage in the way, and he's HUGE. Something sharp would do a lot of damage, however, as there's a lot of muscle and not very much bone to cut through.
As for endurance, he can fight for a good twenty-five minutes without tiring as long as he doesn't use any of his 'dance' abilities. If he does, he'll tire far sooner, generally between thirty seconds and four minutes, depending on what dance he uses.
Speed – Again, being a chocobo grants Alastor capabilities far beyond that of a normal human. At absolute maximum sprint without a 'dance' in effect, Alastor could probably reach 80 km/h, though his normal running speed is closer to 55 km/h. Turn his maximum sprint into a ramming attack, and things are going to get broken, though the list of things getting broken may include himself if he tries it on something too hard, like a wall.
Reflexes – If there's a weak point in his physical prowess, it's this. While Alastor is fast, he lacks in the ability to sense attacks, and as such can be flanked quite easily. If he sees an arrow, he can probably dodge it, given sixty meters, but if he can't see it, he's a sitting duck (or rather, a sitting chocobo) for whatever comes at him.
Fighting Style – Alastor fights like a chocobo (that is, kicking things with his feet and pecking them at closer range with his beak), but with his own special flair in the form of a strange set of 'dances'. While he is not capable of elemental magic, these dances provide ample substitution, and improve on his already powerful kicking-based style.
Weapons – None. He's a chocobo, he can't use weaponry.
Abilities – Alastor's special ability manifests in the form of a series of powerful 'dances'. It uses the body's energy supplies at a rapid rate, and once the time limit's over, he's completely drained. If he's even capable of still fighting, he'll be at best half as strong in all areas.
-Name: Yanagi no Mai (Willow Dance)
|-Element: None
|-Target: AOE limited by the range of his kicks.
|-Mana drain: "Small", but Alastor can only perform under the Yanagi no Mai for four minutes before he tires.
|-Casting Procedure: Alastor begins a spinning dance on the spot. This spinning sets Yanagi no Mai apart from the other dances.
|-Explanation: Yanagi no Mai puts Alastor in a defensive position, increasing his reflexes by 10% for as long as he is under the dance's effects. If an enemy gets within range of his kick, he lashes out before moving with a dancer's grace to position the next strike. Yanagi no Mai works best when dealing with more than one opponent at once, since he needs to already be in motion when he delivers the kick, and fighting multiple opponents allows him to immediately shift from one foot to the other and still hit something.
|-Counteraction: Either interrupt him when he begins the dance or strike him from outside the range of his kicks. Yanagi no Mai leaves him open to magic more than anything.
- Name: Tsubaki no Mai (Camellia Dance)
|-Element: None
|-Target: Single target in front of him.
|-Mana drain: "Light", but Alastor can only perform the Tsubaki no Mai for two and a half minutes before he tires.
|-Casting Procedure: Alastor spreads his wings wide before beginning the footwork that makes up the dance. This 'wing spreading' takes three to four seconds to achieve, and the footwork another five, but it's required.
|-Explanation: Tsubaki no Mai works on the opposite principle from its Yanagi cousin. By forcing his blood to circulate at an insane rate, Alastor effectively shuts off the pain receptors in his body for the duration of the dance. His speed also improves slightly (15%), and he is relentless in this state. While he can't feel pain under Tsubaki no Mai's influence, it doesn't mean he can't be damaged or won't ever feel it. It just means that the pain will be released at the end of the dance instead of during it. This buildup can cause trauma when released, though, if enough damage was inflicted on him in that time.
|-Counteraction: Again, interrupt the dance during the wing spreading and initial steps, there's a nine second interval. That aside, try and cause as much damage as possible while avoiding having the wind knocked out of you by a relentless barrage of kicks.
- Name: Ren no Mai (Lotus Dance)
|-Element: None
|-Target: Generally, a single target.
|-Mana drain: Heavy. Trying to perform it more than once in a row will damage Alastor just as much as the target. Even the first use leaves him in enough pain to render him immobile for the next minute or so.
|-Casting Procedure: Alastor spreads his wings wide before beginning the footwork for the dance. The step combination is longer, and the full sequence takes fifteen seconds to prepare.
|-Explanation: The Ren no Mai pushes Alastor's body to incredible levels, taking the properties of Tsubaki no Mai and turning them into a single attack. Alastor runs at extreme speeds in a circle around the enemy before charging at their blindspot with the speed of an arrow (~50 meters per second). This is what happens when one develops a ramming attack from that kind of speed. It only strikes once, but the impact can break bones in a weaker person and at the very least knock the wind out of the stronger ones.
|-Counteraction: Again, stop the move in the dance phase. It's an eighteen second windup time. That aside, pray you have some sort of wall. Running into a wall at that speed is not fun at all.
- Name: Shinren no Mai (True Lotus Dance)
|-Element: None
|-Target: Generally, a single target.
|-Mana drain: Insane. He WILL break his legs if he uses this move. And probably a lot of other bones in his body.
|-Casting Procedure: During the entire footwork sequence, Alastor is flapping his wings. This is the telltale sign that the enemy's about to get Shinren no Mai used on them. The sequence is long, and takes up thirty seconds.
|-Explanation: An adapted form of Ren no Mai, the Shinren form boosts his speed so far that he leaves afterimages. These are no ordinary afterimages, though: they all contain the same momentum as Alastor himself at the moment of creation. In other words, when he performs the Ren no Mai like this, the afterimages will slam the opponent with the same force long after Alastor's own blow has struck.
|-Counteraction: Again, interrupt the dance. Thirty seconds gives tons of time to interrupt. If one can somehow dodge the initial blow, the afterimages all miss as well. The running into a wall rule still applies.
- Name: Shin Sakura no Mai (True Cherry Blossom Dance)
|-Element: None
|-Target: Anything
|-Mana drain: Insane, and he's gonna die if he uses this.
|-Casting Procedure: The step sequence is extremely long, taking a full minute to prepare. For some mysterious reason, sakura petals emenate from the area around him while the steps are being performed.
|-Explanation: Shin Sakura no Mai is his ultimate move and his trump card, but in order to use its awesome power, his entire body catabolizes on the spot. He's clinically dead the instant the footwork finishes, and only the energy summoned by the dance allows him to move in this state. By combining the properties of all the dances before it, Alastor creates lasting afterimages that move by his own will. These after-images then strike from every direction with the same relentless fury of its Tsubaki bretheren, followed up by a dramatic finisher. The real Alastor uses all his energy to jump high into the sky before crashing down, meteor-style and with the same speed as a chocobo-sized meteor, with enough power to literally leave a twenty meter crater in limestone. If the enemy's caught in that crater, well...
They're probably dead. They just had over a million pounds of force striking them head-on.
|-Counteraction: ...all I can say is to interrupt the dance. And get away from the afterimages. And run like hell if you can see Alastor falling.
- Name: Tessenka no Mai (Clematis Dance)
|-Element: ...Healing?
|-Target: Small AOE around him, perhaps five feet in radius. Essentially, wingspan.
|-Mana drain: Small - Heavy. He can only hold the healing energies for one to one and a half minutes before tiring.
|-Casting Procedure: The step sequence is relatively short, ten seconds in all. The sequence's length can be increased for greater effect up to a maximum of thirty seconds.
|-Explanation: The only one of Alastor's dances that is not based on kicking an opponent into submission, Tessenka no Mai channels regenerative energy into his wings that can be shared with just a touch. If one touches the wing, the healing energy seeps into their wounds, mending them to a degree dependant on how long the step sequence was. The ten second version can heal minor lacerations, while the full thirty second counterpart can mend a large wound, something like a heavy slash across one's chest. Tessenka no Mai cannot regenerate a person's lost limbs, nor can it be used on himself.
|-Counteraction: If you really wanted to interrupt it, during the dance would be the best time...
- Name: Rasengintsuki no Seikou Mai (Delicate Spiral Dance of the Silver Moon)
|-Element: None
|-Target: Himself.
|-Mana drain: Insane. He can only use Rasengintsuki for thirty seconds before tiring, and when it does end, he's a sitting chocobo: he can't move at all.
|-Casting Procedure: Alastor crouches down, focusing energy in his body for around twelve seconds. During this time, all his plumage stands on end, crackling with the immense outpour of energy.
|-Explanation: Rasengintsuki no Seikou Mai infuses Alastor's body with a dense blanket of energy, pushing his abilities beyond the normal limits for a short period of time. While under the influence of Rasengintsuki, all four main attributes (speed, strength, endurance, reflexes) are increased by 50%, and magic attacks up to average strength (barring Thunder elemental) are dispelled by the energy blanket. When the energy runs out, he's stuck. No movement for about an hour afterwards, far longer than any fight could possibly last.
|-Counteraction: Interrupt the charging process. Other than that, his weakness to Thunder still remains, so if you have that, use it.
Magic - Alastor does not know any magic, and is actually more vulnerable to it than an average human. This is especially true for thunder magic.
