a question about oilings

I was hunting those oilings and they're supposed to drop those sagittarius gems right? but i tryed stealing from them, killing them repeatedly until the chain built up but they wouldn't drop any. Is it just bad luck or am i doing somthing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong. I know you're probably trying to get the Sagittarius Bow so just keep stealing and killing them. Maybe equipping the Thief's Gloves would help. The only thing about the Sagittarius Bow I would worry about are the Moon Rings. You shouldn't go to the place where you fought Exodus, just journey around in the Great Crystal, that's be a lot easier.

i have the sagitarius bow, i know the pain you're going through. Firstly, i'd recommend going to see the hunt club owner in archades - if you've defeated a certain amount of rare game he'll give you a sagitarius gem - that's one down, just two more needed - and for me it was enough, apparently i'd sold 2 already.

moon rings are hard aswell - but as they said, just go to the great crystal. find one, beat it - move two zones away and go back - just keep trying.i had a chain of at least 35 ash wyrms before i got the last moon ring.
