I'm in the sphere grid, and I'm constantly passing over empty nodes. I have one luck node, and 3 other purple nodes... i forget which kind. I'm not using them because I'm afraid I'm going to want to use one later and won't have it. Is it bad to leave empty nodes empty? How do I get more purple spheres.

Also, I'm really confused about overdrives. Apparently each of my characters now has about 3 or 4 different overdrives to use but only one shows up when I reach overdrive status? How do I get the others? I don't understand the overdrive menu. Can anyone help me out? i have a strategy guide to help me when I get stuck on areas but it seems pretty crappy as it doesn't go over any of this.

Its not bad to keep empty nodes empty as the items can be used for better things like rising stats and custom weapons/armor. You can get more node items from the battle arena. :)

What you may be having trouble with is that there are overdrive modes too. Modes allow you to control how you build up your overdrive bar. Slayer fills it up as you attack and others do different.

So When you get an overdrive mode its nothing special unless you like the way it builds up your bar. Now most characters require you to achive something in order to get a new limit break. Auron you have to find comspheres and lulu you have to learn magic. So each character is different.

thanks! I did notice last night while playing that new overdrives DO appear when my overdrive bar is full, it was the different "modes" that I was learning that I didn't understand. Thanks for the help. I am looking forward to the monster arena.

When picking modes, choose according to your battle style as well... If your character does a lot of attacking, set his has warrior, if your face very strong enemies, it really helps to set it to stoic or w/e the one for when an ally is hit... I usually use warrior because i really only use healing magic and normally kill an enemy b4 it has a chance to attack... Using the Stoic, if you want to get an overdrive for an upcoming boss fight, enter a battle and just keep pressing triangle(defend), letting the enemy attack you repeatedly, healing when necessary... Hope this helps!!

You can get purple spheres from Treasure Chests and defiting monsters at m onster arena, you can alsow bribe spheres and other items.
I don`t realy understand what you meen whit that overdrive thing.
But I can perhaps help you if you tell me how long you are in the game,
have you past Calm Lands??

As said before, the only thing you can change in the Overdrive menu is the current Mode, which determines how your Overdrive meter is filled during battle. You unlock the different modes by performing certain actions with each character (killing 100 enemies, dealing damage 200 turns, etc). As a general rule, Warrior is the best Mode, since it allows you to fill your gauge faster (and have more control over who gets filled) than Stoic or any of the others.

So yeah, stick with Warrior as soon as you get it...and Healer for Yuna, since she doesn't really do much damage. :monster:
