Before crisis takes place six years before ff7. Some of it happens at the same time as crisis core. The story centers around the Turks, as the good guys this time. And the villains are a different avalanche, one that's much more millitaristic. You can find the whole English script at the gunshot romance website (except the very last chapter), but be warned of some not so nice words. There are also a few English vids on YouTube that u could watch, but they're not complete yet. Still they give a better idea than just imagining. For the last chapter and the special chapters I don't remember what site they were on but u can google search it and u should be able to find them no problem. Hope this helped! :)
 
Before Crisis is a game in the FFVII Compilation that takes place around 6 years before FFVII. The Turks have a more prominent role in the game and are considered the heroes in this game, primarily combatting a previous AVALANCHE (The one whose plans Barret found in order to blow up the Mako Reactor in the beginning of FFVII) This AVALANCHE is much more antagonistical in their actions. Some of the events in this game take place in Crisis Core, while some of the events that are shown in some DMW in Crisis Core are shown in this game (Essai and Sabastian having to be killed by Zack) The game has many parts of Crisis Core and Last Order in it, but explains the story behind some characters like Shalua Rui from DoC. It's a great game that explains a lot of the backstory behind the compilation^^
