The alpha test for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has officially begun in Japan.
October 29th – or rather today – marks the launch of the new version’s first phase. A new video has been made available showcasing the game’s in-depth character creation system, as well as the various races and classes you can develop. The team plans to add even more than what you can see here post launch, so stay tuned as more updates come in.
FFXIV will end its current version on November 11th. The full version of A Realm Reborn is expected to launch in early 2013 on PC and PlayStation 3.
