Well, the model you're talking about isn't the one that got the price cut. They've introduced a new 40GB "budget model", as I like to call it. It has zero BC, two less USB ports and a few other odd and end things missing that the more expensive models still have.
Sony is still producing the...
Well, I live in an apartment complex where we're required to sign a contract that says we won't have any loud music, etc. Still, one guy who moved in down the hall a couple months ago loves to crank his music up, especially late at night. I know more than a few people have complained about it...
I <3 my Mithra red mage. I miss her sometimes. I still renew my account and log in every few months to say hi to old friends who still play, but I don't think I could go back for good.
Have fun!
The story of VIII is much easier to understand than VII, and even that wasn't too hard. Like anything, the junctioning system might be a tad difficult to understand at first, but if you played through the whole game it should be second nature to you.
First time I played VIII it took me all of...
Its (thankfully) the ending that I wanted to see after I played through FFX. Had to play through another game to see it, but it was worth it. I'm all for the "happily ever after" thing. ;)
Ramza is my monk, its a fun class to play around with. What's funny is I don't particularly like "monk type" classes in other games, but I really like it in Tactics.
Pre-BC legendary weapons were similar. They required a combination of materials, drops and crafting. Although, now legendary weapons have been "demoted" to just drops off bosses.
Well, what you say might indeed be a part of the issue, but the bigger reason is that FFXI has what? Half a...
About six months after FFVII was originally released in the U.S., a friend let me borrow his PlayStation. I had been a fan of the SNES FF games (especially FFVI, or FFIII as it was then titled) and wanted to play the new one.
That was my first experience with FFVII. ;)
I really enjoyed it mostly for the battle system and the "different" story. It is pretty slow in some parts though, especially early on.
I don't really have any tips to help you stick with it, per se. All I can say is its different and a bit more slow paced than previous FF games, so its...
I really liked FFXII, I just got done playing through it completely a second time (mostly because I was bored and didn't have anything else to play). It was just as enjoyable the 2nd time through, if not moreso, 'cause I actually knew what I was doing that time. ;)
I had this happen on an official Sony memory card not too long ago when I wanted to play FFVII again. Its unfortunate, but happens. I had to order a new one (couldn't find a place locally that carried new PSX memory cards).
I used to name characters after people I know IRL. But, lately I've just been leaving them with the default name.
An embarrasing story: The very first time I played through FFVII, naturally I named all the characters I could after friends of mine. After that, when I would talk to others about...
Don't get me wrong, I really liked VIII overall. The love story though...it seemed too "normal" to me, if there is a "normal" in a story like that. I much preferred IX and X's love stories, because they were set up for failure, as the characters fell for someone else that was so out of their...
Great game, took me forever to complete because I wanted to do all the extensive side quests and such. I kind of want to play through it again because I enjoyed it so much. :giggle:
I agree with YF-23. I also really personally disliked Amarant, even though he might be "the best", I never used him - ever. I also never used Eiko all that much, I prefered Garnet.
I guess its just personal opinion. ;)
It kind of makes sense for what Square wanted to do with the game. They didn't want it to be a huge undertaking, like Crisis Core or the like. Japanese gamers would eat something like this up, they're more "cell phone savvy" when it comes to those types of things. That's who I believe is...
FFXI is a very good game, but it depends on your tates. It takes a long time to do just about anything in-game, which is arguably a drawback. The community is great, most of the time, though. That's one thing I definately miss about it.
The mission/quest cut scenes are really well done, also...
