The worst part of FFCC, in my opinion, is the fact that you can't remove defend from the command list. I mean, who even uses it, especially during boss fights? To a Clavat or Lilty, it's more like you're just standing right in front of the monsters, trying to tell them "Hey guys! I want you to...
i finished on year 13. i had to get all magic rings (except life... that'd take forever since i don't have a gba), all "pockets", and enough magic artifacts to bring my magic to at least 80 before i went to mt. vellenge... and then the bosses were really pitiful...
i got enough magic artifacts...
well in my opinion, "I, Garland, will knock you all down!" is a pretty lame line if you think about it. they also changed the spell names (for a good reason; the NES only had 4 character names for the spell)
for example:
W.Magic:
RUSE - Blink
FOG - Protect (how did they make FOG a spell that...
well yeah, which is why i'm trying to get the ultima weapon first. obviously i need to get to a decent level to take on the Whisperwind Cove (the phantom train and death gaze shouldn't be much of a problem though; they're undead), and then i have to find a decent training spot in which to get to...

if you already have a white mage with the Life spell but had troubles because of your white mage dying, then you should be fine with just 10 (your white mage won't...
Assuming you're using an NES, in the WSC, PSX, and GBA, they changed the names from Silver to Mythril, and if you need some Phoenix Downs, you can use the Airship (assuming you cleared the Ice Cavern) to fly to some other town that does sell them.
Ok, so I'm approaching Chaos on my 4 white mage party, and I just want to know: about how much easier will the fight be if I got the Ultima Weapon first?
note: I play the GBA version, and there you get the Ultima Weapon by clearing every level in the Whisperwind Cove and then finding a treasure...
Really? I had no problem going through the Ice Cavern. O wait, my characters were lv 35 at the time... >.>
Then on my 4 white mage party, the only issue was fighting the Evil Eye
Warrior (fighter) - Jesse
Thief - Wesley
White Mage - Andrea
Black Mage - Chestr (they only let you use 6 characters in the names in the GBA version T_T, so i cut out the second 'e' *guess where from*)
then when i did my 4 white mage party, i just autonamed them (using help from names of other...
