Wow. Thank you for the kind words UncleUlty. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was in two minds whether or not to include Memory of Lightwaves as its the opener from X-2, so I just made it a secret track at the end. I finished these tracks a couple of months ago and for the life of me, I cannot...
I've always loved IV, but I've never played the DS version. I guess if you're really not down with the 2d graphics I would recommend that because it has a great story.
It might be worth mentioning I've just done a tribute album to FFX. You can listen/download it here - http://soundcloud.com/thestormof87/sets/10-years-of-the-calm-a-tribute/
Agree with points about the graphics. I think the music, although brilliantly written does sound a little dated and would need re-recording with real instruments or remixing.
As far as gameplay, I would provide an option to make the summon sequences shorter.
Uncle Ulty, I love that idea...
Hi there. Name's David from England. I've been an FF obsessive for about 15 years or so. My faves are iv, vi, vii, viii & x. I haven't been able to follow the series quite as much lately with life/work etc. But I'm still a huge fan. On the side, I also make music and I've recently done a tribute...
I love that moment in the game too. I not so sure if it would have been quite as powerful though without the sound of that sombre version of the Cosmo Canyon theme running over the top of it. I would have liked to have heard more about Red's family and his heritage.
My ultimate choice would be Aeris' Theme. But there are so many classics from that soundtrack. One Winged Angel is one of the most epic things ever written.
