I don't really think you're being shallow. I've noticed it myself in regards to a few other characters looking very similar in terms of their overall design. I can't be certain, but it really does seem like the design team try to milk the success of earlier titles by copying and pasting certain...
FFX and FFXII had a fair bit of humour - the difference was that due to the generally darker plot compared to earlier games in the series, it was a lot more subtle. Wakka and Balthier spring to mind, for I felt they brought a lot of brilliant subtle humour to their respective games.
I never...
It's a difficult decision to make, but I decided to go with FFXII after much inner debate. Overall, my preferences reside with FFVII, FFIX and FFXII in terms of their respective soundtracks - yet given just how much of a fan of FF Tactics and Vagrant Story I am, the fact a lot of the tracks in...
To me, the Viera always felt like blatant fanservice and eye candy. Whilst an interesting race, I have to say I prefer the Ronso much more as they felt like a much more natural part of FFX's setting. I may be biased, given how I liked Kimahri a lot as a playable character.
When I was younger - it must have been when I was about seven or eight - I remember playing outside on the street with some friends. We decided to go to the local shop which was only around the corner to get some sweets.
I'm sure everyone has seen a big dog tied up outside a shop waiting for...
Now that I think of it, there's a fair few phrases that really grind on my nerves depending upon the context they're used in.
'What people do in their private time doesn't concern you.' - Of course, if I don't know what people are doing in their private time, I'm not going to be bothered am I...
I liked her because she could stand upon her own two feet. She didn't spend every other scene acting like a damsel in distress. Plus, she had a lot of depth. I daresay she is my favourite character after Gabranth.
It depends upon the situation, really. I do lean more towards relying upon magic however. I'd say in the earlier games - as well as in Final Fantasy Tactics - items happened to be a lot more useful and, to an extent, a bigger rarity.
Of course, the tougher fights - such as Ozma in FF9 and the...
I'm not American, but I don't believe that any drug currently classed as illegal should be legalised. I really cannot grasp the supposed logic behind it being someone's 'right' to pump their body full of behaviour altering drugs. The majority of people in society have a right to be safe - and...
I can only echo what others have said and state that I too felt awkward watching the 'tender' scenes between Snow and Serah. Snow looks to be in his late twenties, whilst Serah looks as though she is still a schoolgirl. Then there's the overplayed tension between Snow and Hope...
I named Aeris after my mother. That was a bit...awkward given the events of the game. Usually, I just keep the original names unless I truly depise them though.
I really, really miss the freedom airships and a world map bring to an RPG. I'm well aware that the games were still linear to a degree, but I just loved being able to explore and seek out hidden things or return easily to a past location.
This may sound odd, but I need some 'internet people' on my contact list. This isn't to say I'm without friends, but I need some people I can talk to about gaming or to just share amusing youtube videos with whilst engaging in random chatter!
So uh...yeah.
nalesin@hotmail.co.uk - if anyone is...
To be honest, I'm kind of annoyed by this. I'm something of an elitist when it comes to spelling and grammar - and whilst I certainly know that both myself and others will make mistakes, I utterly despise internet slang.
It seems like the vast majority of people are growing up 'typin liek dis...
That's just utterly sickening...I don't even want to think about what motives could behind such a thing. It just goes to show that the world is a scary place, and that there are a lot of messed up people.
It's a very tragic situation. When I studied psychology I recall reading about a similar case. Sadly, it isn't unusual for people to freeze and simply watch in horror and a gruesome event unfolds in front of their eyes. Some people just aren't mentally strong enough to intervene.
The only thing I shave is my face, though from time to time I simply let some stubble grow if I feel like it. My arms and legs are pretty hairy, but thankfully my torso is not!
As for my legs, I've got a few friends who try to convince me to shave but I see absolutely no reason to. I rarely...
I always take a bath or shower as soon as I wake up, regardless of whether I need to go somewhere or not. I also use Lynx or the like throughout the day - especially if I'm going out somewhere.
I can't stand hot weather because I hate sweating. >_>
About three years ago, one of my friends at college would often invite me over to his house to play some Resident Evil or to go and watch a movie. This worked out rather well, as at the time we both didn't really know many people who were into the same genre of games/movies as we were.
Yet when...
