I've never really felt annoyed by the loading, only really when it's in the middle of a series of cutscenes (Battle in the Keyblade Graveyard for instance) - then again, I'm very used to long load times (Mainly thanks to PoPoLoCrois and FFIX).

Generally it depends for me. Generally if there's a series I want to get into, I'll check to see if it has a continuity - if it does, I'll play the games in order, if it doesn't, I'll just go with whatever I can get my hands on the easiest. I generally don't have any problem playing prequels...

I'd recommend it, it's a fantastic console and my personal preference this generation. If you can get your hands on a HDTV and a HDMI cable as well, then your experience will sky-rocket. I has the widest choice this generation as far as games go, so you're bound to find something you enjoy...

The 3DS most likely won't launch for $300. It's launching in Japan for the same price the Wii initially launched for, so I'd assume it'll launch in the West for the same price as the Wii also. Don't forget that the Japanese economy is somewhat inflated at the moment as well (Or so I hear)...
