That's a good point. IMO FF wouldn't be nearly as intriguing if the lead characters were bulging with muscles and overgrown jaws. The effiminate small lead character has a "the meek shall inherit the earth" thing going on which seperates it from other games.
That's partly due to their age.
Cloud was 16 in CC and then spent the next 5 years in a experimental cryo tube thing. When he finally got out, his body was biologically still that of a 16 year olds. People seriously need to get off of Cloud's nuts for being scrawny and boyish. If you...
The elephant lady fight? LOL I couldn't imagine her fat ass being able to do anything meaningful in a fight. That's what Beatrix and the two ass clowns were for.
Well I have yet to play FFXIII so my perception is a bit limited but I completley agree with you that the series has to change/evolve in order to stay alive. However I don't think the change has to be bad.
FFX was a radical break from the PS1 FFs and yet it was still an amazing game and just...
Yeah I like all the things you stated about FFXII. The break away from the random battles doesn't bother me one bit (however I'm not too crazy about the MMORPG style combat).
Also, wasn't FFX done by squaresoft?
I guess I jumped to conclusions about Enix being the reason for the difference in the quality (IMO) of the newer FFs but FFXII is definetly missing something that the older FFs had. Did a lot of creators/designers of FF leave square after FFX?
I recently replayed FFVII-X and despite having very different plots and tempos, they all had several things in common. They were all immersive, captivating/interesting, and most importantly FUN.
However here I am about halfway through FFXII and I can't help but feel something is missing...
What they need to do is make two versions of the remake sold as one game.
One version would be EXACTLY the same as the original FFVII only with improved graphics and voice overs. The world map would still be there but it would be graphically enhanced and alot more balaneced in terms of size...
LOL!! Too funny. I don't think Square enix will kill off cloud (they'd catch holy hell from all the fanboys myself included) for the ending. After all the shit he's been through I think he deserves a happy ending, preferably one that doesn't involve him dying.
The first FF i ever played was FFIX back in spring of 2001. I remember a kid at school would always bring the FFIX guide book with him and read it in class so when I saw it at blockbuster I decided to rent it. Was completely enamoured with it from the start and it completely changed my...
Well let's see.
FFVII- Wutai, because it's so serene and it's the only place that doesn't seem to have been tainted by the Shinra.
FFVIII- Balamb. I think it would be awesome to grow up in Balamb (peaceful seemingly stress free coastal city) and be able to attend Balamb garden.
FFIX-...
Sup everyone I'm Dross. First got into FF a while back with PS1 titles but then got side tracked with high school and other stuff. Anyway I've recently started playing some of the old titles again and I'm just as captivated as I was when they came out.
Really looking forward to playing the...
