Yeah, at first, Edge came off as a flirtatious, stuck up guy. And i wasn't too happy that he flirted with Rosa either. But it isn't till he is truly with the team, meaning Cecil, Rydia and the rest that he learns to become a better, more responsible person. He later develops sincere and genuine...
Yeah, Kain only ever loved Rosa. There was too little interaction between them. Kain tried to kill her in Mist, too. So everything was ruled out then and there, I guess. Oh yeah, thanks so much for agreeing with me! Nice to see someone agrees also on my views.
If I can, I'll try to find some...
This I quite agree. The relationship is one-sided at first. And the ending at the time (when there was no After Years) was up to interpretation, whether they ended up together or not. It's even logic if SE they wanted to explore the relationship for the fans (which I'm happy for). Also, Rydia...
Actually speaking, Rydia is 20, a year older than Rosa (weird, I know). Edge was flirtatious, but in After Years, he matured and after 17 years he still has strong feelings for Rydia, to the extent he never married anyone else for the Eblan throne to continue. He also hit on Rosa about once or...
OK, these are some of the moments between Edge and Rydia that I have compiled from FFIV The After Years. Some people haven't played the game, so I warn you that this is FULL of spoilers.
These are the moments only, but not the full story, just a simplified version - and not in proper order...
Well, to be completely honest, I didn't give up on the anime totally, but I did prefer the manga's storyline. The fillers were irritating, though. Loved the ending too~
I agree completely!
That's how I feel too! I never knew that there was a final arc that was never animated until I read the manga. The manga was really great, and I felt contented and satisfied with the ending. The anime on the other hand was very good, but only till the end of the Kyoto Arc...
It's cool to think that Rydia would live in the land of summons, but sad to know that she would age extremely fast if she continued to live there. Most probably to make it logic, the creators made up a plot that would require Rydia to be prevented from returning to the land of summons and making...
I do agree that Edge's feelings were one sided. I used to think that Rydia did not seem interested in Edge romantically. But after reading through some info, I seem to have changed my mind a little. I still like this pairing, though! If you have read through the previous posts, you might find...
That is some really good insight...but the part about edge ignoring her..he was actually pretending to ignore her when he was really longing for her. As in, when he saw her come in, he looked away as if he doesn't care, but in truth, he really does. I knew about this already, and when I was...
I've also been thinking..if rydia's affection was vague for edge during the ff4time period, what about in ff4 the after years? It could have been more stronger.
No..I didn't need to print it out to draw this~ . Oh yeah, thanks a lot for saying this pic is good.
Thanks so much for saying that! Yeah, I agree with you there when you say that the clothing needs work. When you say that eyes are the things that it is the that draw you to a drawing, the...
Well..I decided to post the same drawing, but a much more sharper version. This was actually the original version of the drawing before I decided to soften the image and this made the pic look really blurred. So..here goes.
WOW...I found this in the final fantasy wiki 'talk' section titled Rydia (it's like a discussion). In this section, there was a subsection named 'Rydia falls in love with Edge?'. I looked through it and found this:
According to the Settei Siryou, she does. --Crazyswordsman 05:40, 6 April 2007...
Thanks so much for the tips!:P Especially about the hair. I'm not too good with hands and shoes...when I was drawing Rydia, I thought that the arms were kinda fat too. Oh well. The more sharper version and not like this blurry one can be found here...
Haha..it's from FFIV. It's just FFIV whatever version, SNES or DS. I love the remake of this game. It was awesome.. Thanks for the thumbs up, I really wanted this pic to be commented upon!:)
Thanks so much!:P Rydia is always in my team because I love her character and she is one of the...
Well spoken! The pic you liked..is it the one with Edge and Rydia by lucypupy? I loved it as well. The slightly mediocre one above your post is by me, DawnThrone! It's awesome that you love FFIV as well. It's not so often that people like this game. The majority of them go for games like FF7,FF8...
Cool. I really liked Rurouni Kenshin. Nowadays, it's alittle hard to find an anime so in - depth and not stereotypical. Same goes to the characters, And yeah, Kenshin's 'X' scar wasn't just a battle scar, it had many meanings. I loved the anime, as I watched it when I was a kid, and it was...
Well, in my opinion, it's better to read the manga till the end. Have you read it till the end? It was awesome. The ending was good and not overdone, and it was just good. The OVA's have a seriously different mood. They even changed a lot of the storyline. Right after the Kyoto Arc, it was just...
