    What format was LOTC released on?

    I recently saw on eBay two "video cd's" of the first two installments of Legend of the Crystals (japanese imports of course) and am trying to determine if they are genuine or they are just crappy bootlegs from the VHS. They were somewhere around $30 for the pair.
