Zidane and Dagger is one of my top Final Fantasy romances. I think only Tidus and Yuna come out on top, possibly cos they're actual adults. I always think of FF9 being the perfect happy-ending for a love story and FFX being the perfect sad ending.
I'm completely fine with it. I know there are issues about a lack of good female characters in gaming. Although that's largely an issue in which the Final Fantasy series has been an exception.
But I don't think we've actually had an RPG where the story is mainly carried by 4 guys. Most...
I struggled to hold back the annoyance when I learned, whilst doing it, that Yojimbo worked against Penance. Does that count?
As for actual bosses during the main story, It'll have to be the stone golem at the end of the Calm Lands. Don't think I figured out you should use Blind for some reason.
She was in the sequel? Lol oh yeah I gave up half-way through it.
I guess she wasn't supposed to be evil in X, just innocently going through the motions. Although, if you make that assumption, you've got a lotta explaining to do regarding the seriously evil looking boss form.
A PS4 remake would be a huge undertaking. If they went down that road, I think they're far more likely to do FF7 as it already has, in principle, a full 3D world that's been designed for it. I think they probably lost the model data (or they would've made an HD re-release by now) but they could...
I didn't play FF6 until about 2 years ago so I don't have that whole nostalgia for it. I do think it's a brilliant game though!
It took me a while before I got into it. Maybe 5-10 hours in? By the time the opera scene came around, I was hooked. And then the whole 2nd half of the game I found to...
I don't see that as a hole really. And from Crisis Core, it seems like Sephiroth was more messed up by the fact that he was created for the sake of an experiment. Do you know that he specifically cared about the fact that he thought Jenova was his mother? That seems more like his later-on...
Lol you've played them all except 9 and 10? Those are like 2 of the best.
9 is a bit more childish in some ways. It's certainly more childish than 6, 7, 10 and 12. I'd say it's more similar to 4 and 5 in terms of it's maturity.
It's actually a very deep philosophical question!
In the sense of deep platonic moral values (that often exist for the sake of storytelling), no she wasn't.
If it was a real world example? Yes, I'd say she was evil. She allowed her own weaknesses to destroy everything good about her and killed...
I attempted a speedrun a few months back but got too frustrated after about an hour. It's just not enjoyable at all. You have to plan it so carefully, otherwise you're wasting your time.
Most importantly, it just saps the enjoyment out of the game. I really don't understand why Square added it...
I don't know if this has been asked elsewhere (apologies if that's the case).
But I wonder what people generally think is the most imaginative, original and interesting fictional world created for a Final Fantasy game.
I've never seen this asked before so I'm wondering how people feel. Maybe...
I don't even remember Reddas dying to be honest!
I agree Brahne's death was surprisingly quite sad. You really do feel Garnet's pain.
I have to go with Tidus though. That ending was probably the single most emotional moment in any video game. So beautifully done as well.
I don't know if it's...
This is a pretty good definition of myself too. I'm fairly good at socialising when I try but I'm so easily put off by people. Something very particular that I cannot abide (but others seem to rarely notice) is how certain people change their personalities depending on how many other people are...
Skyrim has sold more than 10 mil. Different type of RPG though.
As for the OP point, it seems like popular opinion moves in waves in a sense. For about 7 years after it came out, everyone praised FF7. Then the 7 years after that, everyone got tired of the praise and the saturation of that world...
