I'm really torn. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't like. I found the characters to be bland overall. I usually have sympathy for FF characters because they usually have some kind of struggle to deal with but I just couldn't feel it in this game. I mean it was there, it just made me...
I was going to say Yunalesca but instead I'll say Yuna because she was cute and intelligent in that she realized she knew nothing.
Me saying Rikku is hot is just creepy considering my age so I'll instead say that she was only cute when she wasn't talking.
Best beginning was FFVI because I just loved watching them trek across the snow to Narshe. It just captured my attention right away.
Best ending was FFX because of the emotion
Yup basically what all of you said. The transition between the ending song that plays during the final yuna/tidus scene and the end credit song Suteki da ne is what almost sent me over the edge. Very close but it was all inside...
I think the intention of Mystic Quest was to introduce newbies to the Final Fantasy name by having a decent storyline, simple battle system and easier gameplay. I myself liked it for it's simplicity. Pazuzu's Tower was a little irritating but that's only because it's a Tower :P.
Any character who had an "auto high potion when ally HP reaches below 40%" gambit deserves to be on that poster :P
But seriously it is a little weird to see him on there and no other guest characters or even antagonists. I figure having him on would lead to speculation which is what we in the...
Meh. I didn't see any potential for relationships and I'm glad as it would've been cliche and lame IMO. Maybe Ashe can hook up with a Bangaa? The King of Dalmasca, a bangaa?!?! :wacky:
Fran and Balthier I saw more as a really really good friend relationship. The type that if they did...
Yeah I found quickenings helpful in the earlier part of the game like when you fight that pollen dragon outside the viera wood but as the weapons got better, quickenings became weaker by comparison. They were cool to watch but and linking was rewarding in itself but I prefer the limit break and...
I always thought initially that Tidus and Vaan could be cousins but that's about it. Auron and Balthier aren't alike IMO. Different characters, different styles, different ways of handling a situation. Auron speaks from experience and knows what to do whereas Balthier seems to just jump right in.
Biggest change I'd make it is to make Ivalice bigger and more explorable in FFXII as well as re-writing the character descriptions to make the player give a damn about them. I'd also like to visit Rozzaria and hear their take on the war instead of dealing with that annoying Al-Cid Banderas...
Strictly from ranking the games I've played, XII comes at the bottom. I just bought X2 today to try. Bought it mostly to add to my collection :P.
I found XII to be the most boring. Granted it had a ton of sidequests but that to me doesn't make up for a weak storyline and weaker characters...
FFX's overall storyline got me in places particulary the Home incident and the ending as most have mentioned. It choked me up pretty bad which not even Aeris' death could do (I was shocked but not sad).
Of course beating any FF is sad when you have to reach over to the console and reset it...
Live in Mt. Gagazet and slap Kimahri silly until he spoke gooder english :P.
Actually I'd probably live in Besaid and live a simple life and hang with Wakka. And my vacations would consist of me going on a "pilgrimage" to explore Spira in it's beauty while hoping Sin was already killed.
Despite being clued in as to how the game would end. I was blown off guard when I saw it. It was stunningly beautiful. As a grown man who's played FF's for the past 16 years, no other game's ending has moved me as much as this one did. I loved the game's storyline so the ending made it that...
Other than his Nova and Mighty Guard Lancet abilities, he's pretty useless. I mean I wanted to like him since he was non-human but coupled with the fact he doesn't talk much and when he did it was 3rd person cave talk, he was actually worse than Rikku. I too ended up sending him down both Yuna...
I found levelling up in this game surprisingly easy. I didn't complete the entire grid but I'm almost there with each character. I'm not a completionist though and I'm almost out of Level 3 key spheres. I know where to get some but that doesn't make me wanna get em as I have the good...
When I played this game, I really paid attention to Tidus' dialogue and came to the conclusion that it was the V/O line delivery that sucked. I honestly have some V/O experience and I could've done a way better job. The wrong words were being inflected like the actor was rushing to deliver his...
