I've always interpreted the final battle as Cloud having developed the necessary strength, mind and skill to truly face and defeat the man he once idolized in a head-to-head fashion.
To support that, the technique Cloud is scripted to defeat Sephiroth with is Omnislash. It's considered a...
I need to stop reading that title as "Milfy".
Welcome! =D Have fun here. It certainly seems like you are already.
So you're big on Streetfighter, yeah? What else? Tekken? Was that you talking about that in the SB? I think it was.
Anyway, yeah, welcome.
Yuna essentially pulled an Olivia Newton John/Sandra Dee transformation between X and X-2. An awful and unfit deterioration from a previously bland character into a would-be indelicate doll.
Paine annoyed me simply because I don't tend to like that type of character. I found her to be dull and...
I sent this lengthy ass rant to my friend about why the Giants (football) suck...only to realize later that it wasn't him, and it was actually this girl I'd only just met this past semester in College named Laura. Awkward.
I recently had my phone changed, but the people at Verizon didn't...
The fitness gimmick thing was actually shown or discussed almost as early as the games were. All it really looks like is another one of those Pikachu edition Tamagachi pet things or whatever they were, in which you raised it as a virtual pet.
Watch Saving Private Ryan, then you can take him seriously. I completely forgot about his pyro shit on Friends when he was scattered around saving lives...up until he asked for more morphine. Then it was like, "Ohh, there's the addictive attribute."
Usually, I'll type something like "LOL" or another allcap equivalent when I actually am lol'ing in person. If ever I use "lol", which isn't often, then it's usually a quickwrite thing as a means to convey my amusement. I'm laughing, but more-so on the inside. I would use "haha" in it's place...
First of all, I'm not really sure where this topic belongs. Sorry if this is the wrong section.
Now, it would seem to me that the whole game-to-movie thing used to be taken into real consideration. The problem seemed that they either couldn't find a plausible, willing cast and director, or...
=D Okay, that makes sense. I think I confused that with the idea that was proposed at the beginning of the topic, which was that it was a self-sacrificial thing on her part. I agree with you then with the fate thing, I just didn't think she died specifically so that she could do all that...
No no~ No worries. It all makes sense. =]
I know what you mean, in that she knew there was a risk involved in what she was to do, but that she had to take it for the sake of the planet.
And that, in Holy's case, the best interest of the planet was to wipe out its inhabitants - much like the...
The Goers. I loved to smash those cocky SOBs, but only before they started to lose their players and plummet down to a second tier team. Then they just weren't all that worth it.
I always had a sick feeling when playing the Al Bhed because they always required so much work (as Blitzball goes)...
I don't think it was bad. It certainly doesn't warrant that type of response, I don't think. It was a nice, little atmospheric tune.
But I did feel that there were far better tracks than it.
To act as a deus ex plot device, so that we could be enlightened about this major character truth at just the right time in the game.
EDIT:
Looking back, my answer didn't make much sense, because what we're dealing with here is Episodic Memory, not Semantic. The idea of "remapping" doesn't...
Lol, this seems a recurring topic about the game. It is pretty sluggish. It gets better as your characters level or you equip the right goods and your characters become faster. In such instances, it can actually go rather fast. But in general, it's pretty slow.
It's nice to think that, but I don't see what would make her different from any of the other Cetra in the Lifestream. The stream itself was a very big element of the game, so I can see why it would act as the planet's savior in the end.
In the chance that she was the reason behind it, I doubt...
I think the prayer to summon Holy left her in deep focus and therefore vulnerable (after all, she didn't even acknowledge Cloud), and that Sephiroth took advantage of this. It would make sense, considering the degree of magic they were both dealing with.
I don't believe it was some sort of...
It's always been difficult for me to determine whether something is a date or not. I'd say it's an appointed event or plan between two people with the intent to socialize or engage in one another's company. The last bit is specific, but it kind of has to be to separate it from, say, a business...
I swear too much, more so than I should. I blame two primary sources - the internet, and tennis.
I used to never swear. And then I found that the given words were a lot easier to type out than they were to say. It started with that, and gradually, my mouth reflected the things that I'd type...
That's all well and good, but do you disagree with the idea that love is ageless? Do you disagree with the grant of rights given to those of mutual agreement? Do you disagree with the idea of relations blooming from compatability?
As you said in your previous post, we don't know how long...
Based on the reasoning I've seen here, no, I don't see Sephiroth as a necessary evil. I fail to see him as some type of balance in forces to our heroes that some in this thread would suggest, as everyone other than our initial 3 were fairly inactive or harmless in any life-changing or global...
