Before I jump into the discussion, I’d like to first point out that my knowledge of Final Fantasy VII first and foremost derives from the original game itself, and extends about as far as the spin-off games (Dirge and CC) and “movies” (Last Order and AC). I’ve never explored the novellas or...
One thing I've noticed about the FFIX OST in general is that the scores are so good that even a lot of the lesser ones are still decent to listen to, which you can't say for each game. I put the different discs' set list on my I-Pod recently and found myself having a hard time deleting the ones...
No.
I don't know about funniest, so I apologize that this may not fit the criteria, but my favorite Quina scene period was the entire cooking bit.
I think it had a little bit of everything. When s/he walks in the kitchen taking in the aroma, and Eiko accuses him/her of trying to eat the...
I actually think this is a solid summation of the game. I am actually okay with VIII; it's not a favorite of mine, but I'm not "against" the game by any means. That said, I think it's completely legitimate to summarize most of the game's aspects as sloppy.
It felt like they tried to do way...
Hard to say, really. IX had a beautiful soundtrack.
I've always really loved the opening theme. "Melodies of Life", is it? It has a soothing quality to it, and it always makes me think of some distant, serene place of sorts. Great music.
I even liked the "Overworld Map" music a lot. It too...
The beginning was fantastic sans the long-winded stargaze.
As the train came in, you knew VII was officially underway and that it was on. Sure enough, Cloud goes hopping off of it to throw down against militia whilst alongside-yet-not-entirely-with that leetz rebel unit. The chemistry between...
Specificity of criteria is needed to properly answer the question.
As many have mentioned, Wakka of X would be top dog if we're going by pure gameplay mechanics and damage output. 99999 x 12; don't think another hero has topped that. In fact, by these standards, Cloud isn't even the strongest...

As for the Michael-Walt thing:

Lastly, about one of the climatic pieces of the ending...

Abrams wrote, like, two episodes of Lost. He wrote and directed the two-part Pilot, and he co-wrote the...

Anyway, I'm not refuting the fact that the finale was a disappointment for you, as that's obviously how YOU felt. I'm just pointing out that the show does, in fact, answer many of the questions the fans think it doesn't, and that the writers' goals in answering question...
Err,
I'm pretty sure Orientation and a few other episodes covered this.

Now, if any of the answers provided (by the show, as I hardly touched on any of it) just lead to more questions, then that...
I find it funny to see complaints about religious aspects of Lost when they've been in the series for so long. I mean, for goodness' sake, the season 1 finale was entitled "Exodus" and had our mains traveling on a raft together.
It shouldn't matter though, because it acts as more of an...
This happened at a high school near where I live. The funny thing is, one of the students talked about how they "don't do stuff like that on Fourth of July" or whatever, when in fact, they do. You see Mexicans sporting red, white and green all the time on Fourth of July, and some take it to the...
It's hard to say, since Aeris' will power is so strong that it apparently extended beyond life in her attempts to help them after , while Sephiroth's will is most-likely what kept him alive to do everything he did after the nibelheim incident in the first place. I hate taking the objective role...
Funny that Cloud gets all these asterisks and outer-locus explanations in his multiple defeat of Sephiroth, but this same treatment isn't given to Zack in his fight with Sephiroth?
How do we know that Sephiroth wasn't just toying with Zack? How do we know that he even gave a shit? How do we...
Taking Back Sunday - Capital M-E
Although a bit hard to listen to when taking into account that the lyrics are about the problems with and departure of former band mate, Fred Mascherino, it's impossible to hold that against this song. The instrumentals are great, but even better are the...
Too many of the new Pokemon look like copies of ones prior. I think I even see two separate Pokemon sets that look just like the Turtwig lineage. Even a Charmander-esque thing in there. What worse though, is that they spent time giving all these different Pokemon baby forms and such rather than...
Destiny, Sephiroth controlled Jenova. Ultimania wasn't needed for that. I'm actually not sure what the "debate" was about.
I'll post up the text. I've cut out stuff that doesn't really move the dialogue along. I've bolded the lines that are crucial to pay attention to, and I put notations...
Why do on rock what you can do on a ship?
In all seriousness, there's no way to really tell. They left the scene ambiguous, much like they did with most of the other present-day situations they were in.
I used to ignore Amarant. On my most recent playthrough, it's Quina. Neither of their stories are too extensive (you resolve Amarant's initial one upon his introduction to the team up until his role in Ipsen's), and neither of them really intertwine with the larger picture.
